This challenging report from Michael Voris is a wake-up call for Catholics not only in the United States but the rest of the developed world. As in the United States, there is a falling away of faith in second and third generation immigrants from amongst the major faith communities in Europe, primarily to secularism and materialism. Some children and grandchildren do return to some form of religion, the majority do not.

Just a word of caution on the statistics being issued by
“church leaders” in the United States. When church attendance is being spoken about, this will not only include Mass attendance but will also include the attendance of nominal Catholics to baptisms, weddings and funerals. Whereas, weekly Mass attendance statistics are a much better indicator of the health of a Catholic community in any country. So watch out for the 25% church attendance in the United States comparison to the 5% to 10% Mass attendance in Europe figures (weekly Mass attendance in Ireland, 51%).
