Ambrosian chant - Αινείτε τον Κύριον.
Medieval Ambrosian chant in Greek. Title: "Αινείτε τον Κύριον" (Praise the Lord - communion chant) This piece is an archival recording of poor quality so I am not quite sure it will be of great interest to the majority of viewers. I did not initially intend to post it but decided to do so after a discussion with Samurai8989 on the nature of ambrosian chant and its modern interpretation. The chant itself is a byzantine sample of Ambrosian chant (hence the greek lyrics). It is a very rare recording done by the Greek Byzantine Choir. If anyone is interested in the exact byzantine counterpart, it is the Byzantine Chant "Praise the Lord from the Heavens" (watch?v=feu2owd0MsY), which is in english (I am also planning to post the greek original in due time).

Simply fabulous! It reminds me of the early Latin organum of say Perotin at Paris or the Winchester troper in Winchester UK. The cantus firmus or 'tenor' harmonised at the fifth below and fourth above. Beautiful, thanks. 😇
