My original post on this topic already shows how Gloria TV News on one hand shares Cardinal Francis George's opinion while on the other hand ignoring how Pope Francis has peached on these topics. I've even provided a couple of links if you care to follow them. To deliberately tell half the truth about Pope Francis IS bias and disingenuous. As for other Catholic outlets who aren't reporting on these 'difficult things' it's for two reasons. One because if a priest or bishop etc isn't faithfully proclaiming Catholic teaching, there are proper channels to address this which don't involve publicly shaming a person in a news story without acknowledging other important facts (as Gloria TV News has done here and on other occasions). Secondly, other news outlets don't follow the same anti-pope paranoia that is prevalent on this site, not that they are blind to any issues that exist in the Church, but that there is a better way to deal with them than open criticism and a The Pope can do nothing right mentality.

On World Youth Day, I am not saying the @Temperance must support it, that's fine if he doesn't want to support it, but to dismiss the whole event as a Catholic Woodstock filled with young people having sex is completely out of touch with the reality of what actually happens there. He hasn't even acknowledged the good that I've mentioned coming out it, he continues to trash it, even though he is trashing an event where the sacraments are being administered to people who attend all the time - what kind of priest (or priest to be) trashes an event that allows for greater administering of the sacraments?

These same neo-catholics that like to go to the Popes rock concert usually enjoy going to the fake apparition place of Our Lady of medjugorje. How does evangelisation work my friend - by reaching out to groups who don't know Christ as sharing the Good News with them. It's rarely instantaneous and it can be a process that takes many years. Isn't it better that the Pope has a relationship with these people, presenting them with Christ through blessing their objects and giving them rosary beads? What conduit for grace is there if they don't have an encounter with a follower of Christ?

Please also remember that Pope Francis has continued throughout his pontificate to promote Catholic teaching on same-sex marriage and the rights of children to a mother and a father. He also did this before he was pope. Surely his speaking to this indigenous group doesn't mean he endorses any sinful behaviour they might promote - or are you saying that Pope Francis is guilty for the sins of other people - if that's the case he can never win in your eyes.

How's the head tapping going, any progress yet?

It is no surprise to see these days, when Christian faith is on the decrease, that attacking the Holy Father Pope Francis is becoming the fashion; it offends Catholic instincts and no Catholic can stand by unmoved and silent when the Head of the Church is under such attacks. It is highly reprehensible behavior for those claiming to be Catholic and for those claiming a vocation. All true Catholics have a higher esteem for the Holy Father. Let us remember that it is the will of Christ, our great Exemplar, that till the end of the world there be successors to St. Peter; at present Pope Francis.

If the people, and things they report on are unpleasant; that does not make them bias. However if other Catholic news sites intentionally don`t report the more difficult things that Gloria.TV covers, then perhaps they are the sites that are Bias, or just not as good at their job.

That does not make you a bad Catholic.

Temperance please stick with truth, and clarity of thought; It will serve God`s Holy Catholic Church very well. The pastoral approach to those souls, that will come under your care and guidance will come naturally.
Don`t be burdened by those that cast doubts upon your vocation.

Blessing their objects and giving them a holy character which is better than what they may have been before is a bad thing? And giving them rosary beads at the end to encourage devotion to Our Lady is a bad thing?

I'm not sure I'm displaying ignorance by shedding light on a clearly biased news service whose news stories are generally negative towards Pope Francis because of some misinformed notion that he is a liberal pope - it's more ignorant to simple take Gloria TV News at face value and ignore the narrative that it pursues whenever it reports on the pope.

On World Youth Day, your comments about it being a rock concert or a Woodstock or a bastion for sex are irresponsible. What kind of shepherd will you be to young people that you will minister to in the future by telling them that their world youth day experience was a gathering as such. That is so far away from reality that I question your ability to reasonably discern truth. If - and I don't discount it- there was any sexual activity at world youth day, it's far outweighed by the number of confessions, masses (some of them Tridentine) and Eucharistic adoration that was on offer and always well attended. Do you realise that WYD is made up of many of these and hardly resembles a rock concert. You might be talking about the larger gatherings - and if young people gather and are full of joy in the presence of the pope, what's wrong with that - they are not robots. Do you also know that at the final WYD mass when the Pope elevates the Eucharist, the silence is amazing - I can say this because I have witnessed it as have many others who have been to different world youth days.

I like your comment about not providing documented proof - you have so far made many claims and not bothered to provide proof but instead ask me to search for things that I am already aware of.

As for labelling me a neo-catholic, if that's how you're going to minister to Catholics who don't agree with you, I suggest you go and reflect on what it means to be a priest. Please keep searching for the truth, I pray that one day soon you will find it. God Bless
