Eastertide in Rabat.

"When we were baptised we went into the tomb with him and joined him in death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glory, we too might live a new life" – Rom 6:4. The church building is a symbol of the Christian soul, so when it is decorated during Eastertide, it reflects the renewal of the soul and its beautification through grace. In Malta, the churches are decorated with red damask for Eastertide, and there is often also an empty Cross behind the Altar and a statue of the Risen Christ. This is the Franciscan church in Rabat.
