This Lenten season marks 20 years The Passion of the Christ premiered. Given the mainstream media's addiction to anniversary stories, it might be interesting if they'd revisit some of the sages who insisted the movie would ignite a firestorm of anti-Jewish violence, then ask these overwrought seers to reassess their failed forecasts. On the other hand, the responses are predictable enough that it probably wouldn't be worth the bother.

I remember seeing the movie in college. I wasn't originally planning to go, but it sounded better than studying for my Greek test the next morning. It was a powerful experience. Christ's physical suffering was always obvious to me, but the way Caviezel portrayed Our Lord's psychological suffering struck me.
