The "O Antiphons" are ancient pieces of chant that are sung on the 7 days between December 17th and December 23rd. Each "O Antiphon" beseeches the Lord to come, and it addresses the Christ by a title found in the Old Testament. "Adonai" is a title of the Messiah dealing with Kingship
