Too Small: There is good news for the troubled French community of Saint Jean. One year ago, two French sisters of the Apostolic Sisters of St. John established their first U.S. novitiate house in rural Princeville, in the Peoria diocese, Illinois. Only a few days after arriving they were joined by three postulants and more are “knocking on the door.” Now their house is too small. Therefore, the Sisters of St. John are hoping to build a larger convent and chapel. Supporters can help by attending a benefit dinner on Saturday, Oct. 26. The goal is to have a convent that can house 10 to 15 sisters.
