Cardinal Raises Questions on Pope Francis: In his interview with cruxnow.com retired Chicago Cardinal Francis George admits that because of the Synod of Bishops Pope Francis has lost credibility among Catholics. Quote: “The question is raised, why doesn’t he himself clarify controversial things? Why is it necessary that apologists have to bear that burden of trying to put the best possible face on it? Does he not realize the consequences of some of his statements, or even some of his actions? Does he not realize the repercussions? Perhaps he doesn’t. Used and Misused: In the same interview Cardinal George speaks about one of the things he would like to ask Pope Francis. Quote: “Do you realize what has happened, just by that very phrase ‘Who am I to judge?’ How it’s been used and misused? It’s very …More

No need to apologise but perhaps if I explain myself, you'll understand my position (even if you don't accept it):
Gloria TV News can be a voice for Catholic orthodoxy, that's fine and is the role of any Catholic media, I would think (although some don't get it right and we can all acknowledge that). I'm not a liberal and I don't hate or dislike this website, in fact I share content on this site as well.

My issue is with Gloria TV News which as I've stated to you already only uses sources of news that support its narrative against Pope Francis - to deliberately choose to report what others say about the pope (the topic of my original post if you've seen it), especially others who take issue with him and not report on the many good things he has said and done except when it suits the agenda of Gloria TV News makes it nothing more than gossip - so yes, it's scandalous because it is a deliberate attempt to weaken the image of Pope Francis in the eyes of faithful Catholics. Gloria TV News could do a better job serving the truth if they expanded their coverage to include the wide variety of things he says, and even, dare I say it, to once in a while defend his words when there is cause for their defence (examples of which I have already given below). Is it fair to report mainly the bad things that are said about a person and not consider the good things? Does it make me a slanderer to point this out?
