Judgment against Austrian Pro-Lifers.
On April 4, the single judge Erik Nauta, of the regional court of Graz, sentenced four pro-lifers to high penalties for stalking.
They are charged with having repeatedly stalked the Graz-based abortionist, Johannes Hanfstingl.
Judge Nauta also convicted the Austrian director of the pro-life organization Human Life International, Dietmar Fischer, for stalking in Graz – although the latter works in Vienna not Graz. His fine is 180 daily rates of 40 euros each totaling 7.200 euros. ($10,000.00 US Dollars)
Furthermore, the two activists who offered help on the sidewalks and one woman who worked as a consultant were sentenced to fines between 450 and 840 euros. ($600.00 - $1200.00 USD)
Gloria.tv is in possession of the contradictory reasons given for the judgment as well as the appeal made against the unjust verdict.
Nauta claims that the accused had deliberately planned to stalk the abortionist.
