The Gates of Hell? German Cardinal Marx has said to the German newspaper Zeit that he asked Pope Francis explicitly about communion for adulterers and inclusion of practicing homosexuals. Quote: “This pope has pushed the doors open and the voting results at the end of the synod will not change that."
Not Only the West is Decadent: The newspaper asked Marx whether the Curia or the African and Asian bishops saw he adultery- or homosex-issues as a threat. His answer: “Neither/nor.” And: “It has so often been insinuated in recent years that these two wishes are a phenomenon of the decadent West and that they do not play a role in the rest of the Church. However, the numerous colleagues from Africa and Asia, but also from the Curia who approached me at the synod about them proves how totally mistaken that view is."

God also punishes those laity who reject the true Gospel to follow the false gospel of apostate priests.

These apostate Christians are members of Christ's Church merely outwardly, while their hearts belong to the world, the flesh and the devil. Hardly anyone believes that Christ is a just judge who will punish evildoers severely after death. And those who are within the Church but do not belong there on account of their evil lives, attack and oppress God's elect who remain faithful.
