Rebuffed: Heterodox Munich Cardinal Marx was rebuffed by the Polish bishops when he proposed that the two episcopates meet in Berlin to find a consensus on changing Catholic doctrine on marriage writes Edward Pentin on the National Catholic Register. The Polish bishops have been firm about their continued support for Church teaching. Marx made the proposal in early May, during lunch with Polish bishops at the 70th anniversary commemoration of the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp.
Threats: For two weeks 45 year old Father Walter Sívori, parish priest of Our Lady of Miracles in the Argentinian town Villa Elisa, 45 kilometres from Buenos Aires, received telephone threats like “I will behead you. If I will not behead you, I will behead your uncle.” Now, Father Sívori has asked for police protection. He is the nephew of Pope Francis.
