If the ship of the Church, today, is in this storm, it is because the family is in the storm! The Church is formed by “domestic churches”, that are our families.
The Pope is steering the Ship of the Church, the ship of our families, in the direction of the Virgin Mary and of the Eucharist. He is driving the family, through this storm, in the true direction. It is necessary for us to be with the Holy Father, the successor of Peter, the representative of Jesus Christ on the Earth!
Unfortunately, there are persons that speak ill of the Supreme Pontiff and do not obey his directions. They say that he is undermining the progress of the Church and of humanity. But we know that all this is a lie. It is calumny raised because he is opposed to the projects of legalizing abortion, mass sterilization of men and women and of the legalization of the death penalty.
The fight against these absurdities is what the Pope is suffering and alot.

The encounter with the Word is a gift from God, but the response to it depends on the will and in the interest of each one. . .
We have the exposition of how the Reign expands with a strength that does not depend on humans, but is from God Himself. We would be able to say that the Word describes its own inner strength.

“God created man to his image, to the image of God He created him, man and woman He created them.” (Gen 1:27)
God is beautiful and as He made us to His image and likeness, we are also beautiful and do not need to flee this desire that lives in the base of our soul. But this desire needs to be monitored in order that it will not come to dominate us.
We women, many times, we are insatiable, always wanting to remain still more beautiful; and this desire to be beautiful, in a disordered way, brings many woman a profound discontent and, has a consequence, the suffering that causes many pains. This anquished search for the perfect body can trigger anorexia, bulimia, depression and even bring one to death. In a report in Folha, doctors and therapists attest: “Still the greatest frequency may be around 15 years, even girls of 9 and 10 years have come to doctors offices having lost too much weight and found themselves fat.”

The Resurrection of the Lord is the center of all that we can celebrate, and it is the center of our faith, the beginning and the end of our existence. If we speak of the birth of Jesus, we will be already preparing ourselves for the moment of the Resurrection. If we mention His death, it will be to adhere ourselves to His Resurrection. Of the Incarnation to the Ressurection, the mystery is the same. It is necessary to open our heart to welcome it and to live it in faith.

Lisbon–The Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon considers that Catholics present in the diverse organs of social communication have the responsibility of growing, in these “difficult” times, in helping people to read the reality to the light of the hope that springs from the Gospel.
For Bishop José Policarpo, the “testimony” of faith can bring “women and men” to face actual problems “not only with immediate data of the economy or sociology” but over all with the vigor contained in the “message of Jesus”.

We can only discover this response in God and only after we have walked a good piece of our journey. After having realized some of the missions that GOD has reserved for us…
What falls to us is to be daring and to ask God everyday what he wants of us, and each step to perceive the healing that He realizes in us and through us. And also the gifts and ministries that He is contemplating in us, making of us true tools and His hands, and using us to cure and liberate persons that He Himself put in front of us.

Believing in this affirmation: you and I already are with “one foot” in Heaven. Celebrating the time of the Ascension of the Lord, the Church brings us to contemplate in Christ our triumph there in Heaven.
It is fundamental that we know Christ in order that we may know the hope that he gives us, upon discovering the riches of the glory that is the inheritance of the saints and the immense power that excercises in favor of those that believe. These riches are not something to seek in the future, but to live already here – today and now – in the sacred liturgy in which we are with Him, the High Priest, glorifying the Father. It would be so good if we could celebrate with intensity and not simply attached to the rites, but rather the mystery that is revealed to us in each celebration.

Upon reading this title, perhaps you were shocked with the responsibility of being the help of God to men. If I am not able to help me, how am I going to help this man (father, brother, lover, friend) at my side?
In Sacred Scripture, in Genesis, it is written that “God saw that it was not good for man to be alone, and made him a good helper.” The word to help (auxiliar in the original Portuguese) causes us a certain uncomfortability upon hearing it, after all, we quickly think that means something inferior. When we hear: help desk, domestic help, general services help, we can be certain it does not sit well, it appears as something inferior to men. But, in the origin of the word [auxiliar], that comes from the hebraic, ezer kenegdo we encounter the real meaning: HELP OF GOD!

In our families, we are in the situation in that we are principally because of men. . I am not making a guilt trip, nor am I accusing, but I am bringing the reality. Justly, because God made men as the head of the house, the temptor came upon you from your infancy. How we were treated, how we learned the things of the sexuality in the street in a dirty way. How many children were referred to a house of prostitution by their own parents, they learned to drink and to smoke with their parents.
