Unnatural Law: The A-hole Cop?
I have said this on more than one occasion, but, I am not shy so I will say it clearly again. When the people do not even know what it means to be human, when they begin to doubt that there is any objective truth about the nature of humanity or worse accept that there is not truth about the nature of humanity, all bets are off. Anything goes. It is very strange, we know intuitively without much thought that an I-pad is not designed as a tool to hit home runs. If you tried to use your I-pad to hit home runs, you would quickly become very frustrated and miserable. Mainly, because your batting average would immediately tank and most people would think that something was wrong with you for insisting that an I-pad could launch a baseball 400 ft. It was not made for it. Neither, are our bodies made to be used for pure pleasure at any cost. The rejection of man as both body and soul and the subsequent rejection of the powers of the soul, and the working of grace …More

Bishop Fellay on Pope Francis
“What we have before us is a genuine Modernist!”

Bishop Bernard Fellay warned on October 12, “The situation of the Church is a real disaster, and the present Pope is making it 10,000 times worse.”
He said this in an address at the Angelus Press Conference, the weekend of Oct 11-13 in Kansas City.
Bishop Fellay, Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X, gave an extensive lecture on Saturday afternoon that focused on the Third Secret of Fatima, and its apparent prediction of both a material chastisement and a great crisis in the Church.
This report will highlight some of the more dramatic aspects of the Bishop’s Saturday conference and his Sunday sermon.
Bishop Fellay quoted in detail Sister Lucy, those who have read the Third Secret, and those who have knowledge of the Secret. He noted Sister Lucia said that if we want to know the contents of the Third Secret, read chapters 8 through 13 of the Apocalpse.” (details …

Denver, Colo., Oct 6, 2013 / 04:06 pm (CNA).- In his new book “The Global War on Christians,” Vatican analyst John Allen, Jr. details anti-Christian abuse worldwide, drawing light to the tremendous scale of violence against the world’s most persecuted religion.
“I don't think it takes any religious convictions or confessional interests at all to see that defense of persecuted Christians deserves to be the world’s number one human rights priority,” Allen, a noted Vatican journalist and author, told CNA in an Oct. 2 interview.
“You didn't have to be Jewish in the '70s to be worried about dissident Jews in the Soviet Union; you didn't have to be black in the '80s to be concerned about apartheid in South Africa; and you equally don't have to be Christian today to recognize that Christians are the most persecuted religious body on the planet.”
Allen's work, published Tuesday by Image Books, arises directly from a conversation he had with Cardinal Dolan in 2009, in which the prelate made the …More

(Reuters) - Hans Kueng, Roman Catholicism's best known rebel theologian, is considering capping a life of challenges to the Vatican with a final act of dissent - assisted suicide.
Kueng, now 85 and suffering from Parkinson's disease, writes in final volume of his memoirs that people have a right to "surrender" their lives to God voluntarily if illness, pain or dementia make further living unbearable.
The Catholic Church rejects assisted suicide, which is allowed in Kueng's native Switzerland as well as Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and four states in the United States.
"I do not want to live on as a shadow of myself," the Swiss-born priest explained in the book published this week. "I also don't want to be sent off to a nursing home ... If I have to decide myself, please abide by my wish."
Kueng has championed reform of the Catholic Church since its 1962-1965 Second Vatican Council, where he was a young adviser arguing for a decentralized church, married priests and artificial …More

Gerhard Fuchs (Bayerische Rundfunk): Your next trip will be to Bavaria. During preparations for the trip your personnel said you are nostalgic for your homeland. What are the issues you'll be speaking about during the visit and is the concept of "homeland" one of the values you intend touching on, in particular?

A priest who knew Pius XII personally and had access to "every strip of paper" in the Vatican archives says the pontiff believed he did the right thing during the holocaust despite knowing he would be questioned.
Ninety year-old Father Peter Gumpel, a former professor at the Gregorio University in Rome for 25 years, was simultaneously appointed as a Theological Consultant to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints and as Assistant Postulator General.
He was personally acquainted with Pope Pius XII, and has met every pontiff since with the exception of John Paul I.
The work that Fr. Gumpel was assigned as a theological consultant was to "examine everything" related to Pius XII and other causes of interest, and to present the information in a "historically and theologically accurate way to the congregation before they start to discuss it," he told CNA in a Sept. 17 interview.
The cause of canonization for Pius XII was overseen by Fr. Gumpel, who …More

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- In a letter to an atheist Italian mathematician, retired Pope Benedict XVI defended his own handling of allegations of the sexual abuse of minors by clergy and politely criticized the logician's total reliance on scientific facts for meaning.
"I never sought to conceal these things," the pope said of cases of clerical abuse, and lamented the scholar depicting the church as the only place where such "deviation" and "filth" occur.
The publication of the retired pope's comments Sept. 24 to an atheist scholar came the same month a written letter by Pope Francis to an Italian journalist concerning dialogue with nonbelievers was published. Both letters were published, with the two popes' permission, by the Italian daily La Repubblica.
The paper released long excerpts of Pope Benedict's original 11-page response to Piergiorgio Odifreddi, a prolific science writer who authored the book, "Dear Pope, I Write to You" in 2011. The book, presented as a letter …More

(CNSNews.com) - More than 2,000 people have signed a new "We the People" petition posted last week on the White House website requesting that President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize be given to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his diplomatic negotiations with Syria regarding its use of chemical weapons.
"Mr. Putin enabled the United States to avoid an unwanted and unwarranted military action" through the agreement the former KGB officer brokered Saturday that requires Syria to destroy its stockpile of chemical weapons, and therefore "has brought us to the 'brink' of peace," the petition reads.
"Whereas Mr. Obama made a sincere commitment to starting a war with Syria, engaging our military in unwanted conflict, and doing so without the support of his people we resolve that Mr. Obama should deliver the Nobel Peace prize given to him in 2009 to a man of Peace, the President of Russia, Mr. Putin," the petition says.

VATICAN CITY -- As head of state at the Vatican, as well as leader of the world's 1.2 billion Catholics, Pope Francis broke protocol yet again this morning when he bowed to his houseplant moments before watering it. Francis, who has made ignoring protocol and tradition a trademark of his papacy, went on to bow to his refrigerator moments before extending his hand to open it.
"This man is absolutely fascinating," the Pope's photographer, Roberto Salamanca, told the Italian newspaper L'Osservatore Romano earlier this afternoon. "The man breaks many, how you say, protocollo. All day today I spent photographing him, and you know how long it took him to make a cheese sandwich? 45 minutes. He bows to the refrigerator before opening it, then he bows to a loaf of bread before removing it from the refrigerator. Each slice he takes out, he bows...to the toaster, bows, takes out a slice of cheese, bows. I've never seen such humility."

Thousands of the nation's ill-catechized Catholics protested outside the USCCB headquarters in Washington, DC last night, demanding better catechesis so as to better understand what Church teachings they are going to continue to ignore.
Twenty-four year old Tanya Wilkins who spearheaded the protest told reporters that she feels the need for better catechesis because she had for years "unconsciously ignored teachings such as contraception and co-habitation without ever really knowing that the Church was even against such practices."
She went on to tell reporters that ever since she finished reading The Compendium of the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church that she felt she was being called to help enlighten the minds of others who were "unconsciously" denying the teachings of the Church.
"Now when I tell people that I only attend Mass on Christmas and Easter, I know it's because I just don't care, and not just out of sheer ignorance of 'my' faith."

(Sept. 9, 2013)
The US will have the "full diplomatic support" of Britain, Mr. Hague said and he "fully respects" the decision of Parliament to vote against intervention.
David Cameron had worked hard to persuade Barack Obama to take action in Syria, only to be left on the sidelines after Parliament blocked any British involvement.
But Mr. Kerry, who is in London as part of a tour of Europe to drum up support for military intervention, likened opponents of action to people who were "silent" during the Holocaust and the Rwandan genocide.
In what may be interpreted as a criticism of British MPs, Mr Kerry said: "I think it would be good to hear people saying to a dictator "Keep your hands off chemical weapons that kill your own people. Protect your own people."

Father Greg Swiderski recalls two incidents in his life that cause him to become active in opposition to the possession of guns.
"At a very personal level, having had the funeral of a teenager who committed suicide with a rifle, his stepfather's rifle," said Father Swiderski, chaplain of Providence Heights of the Sisters of Divine Providence in McCandless Township. "I guess there's not words that could describe the feeling of totally inept, frustration, pain that comes in that kind of experience. It leaves me speechless.
"When I was in a parish (St. James in Wilkinsburg), there was a shooting right outside the church. People were grazed with the guns. I can tell you that that night, Saturday night, coming upon that scene, and then the next morning going into church to celebrate liturgy, it seemed so bizarre to be going in and doing something, celebrating the holy of holies, that to have witnessed the night before and seeing the blood on the ground …More

Hoboken, NJ -- (June, 2013)
An SSPV drone strike has accidentally killed three and injured four other Taliban members living in the U.S. Saturday, a spokesman for the Society confirmed before expressing sorrow for the wayward bomb that was originally meant to put a stop to a Novus Ordo Mass in Hoboken, New Jersey.
In a statement to the AP, founder and leader of the sedevacantist organization Bishop Clarance Kelly said that he and other members of the traditionalist sect were grieved about the innocent loss of life, and that an investigation was underway as to why the errant bomb, meant to halt "a most grievous sacrilege," fell a block north of its target.
"We are truly sorry for those affected by this unfortunate miscalculation, and our hearts and prayers are with the loved ones of those killed," Kelly said. When asked how the Society meant to justify its killing of potentially hundreds gathered at the target of the operation, Kelly responded, saying that there are "circumstances for …More
