Mary, you showed yourself to Bernadette
in the crevice of the rock.
In the cold and grey of winter,
you brought the warmth, light and beauty
of your presence,
In the often obscure depths of our lives, in the depth of the world where evil is so powerful, bring hope, return our confidence! You are the Immaculate Conception, come to our aid, sinners that we are. Give us the humility to have a change of heart, the courage to do penance. Teach us to pray for all people. It is said that the Most Holy Theotokos will grace you just by simply looking at this particular miraculous image of hers. This you see is the one found at our local parish church. I do not know if you could figure out the hand and/or finger prints of the devotees on the image's glass frame? Well, I for one, touch it as I close my eyes when praying to the Holy Mother and her Divine Infant Son 'whom this image only represents'.
Mary as Our Mother: "...She conceived, brought forth and nourished Christ. She presented Him to the Father in the temple, and was united with Him by compassion as He died on the Cross. In this singular way she cooperated by her obedience, faith, hope and burning charity in the work of the Savior in giving back supernatural life to souls.
