A WhatsApp post by an Italian bishop’s secretary showing Pride flags as a swastika sparked media coverage, prompting explanations from the secretary and two responses from his bishop. The Italian city of Aosta held its third homosexual march on 26 September. That same day, Bishop Franco Lovignana’s secretary, Gilbert Turcotti, posted on his personal WhatsApp status a graphic showing four trans flags arranged to form a swastika. He accompanied it with the words “Questione di prospettiva…” (“A matter of perspective…”). Turcotti subsequently deleted the post. When GazzettaMatin.com contacted him about the image, Turcotti replied: “It seemed like a nice colourful design to me.” According to Bobine.tv, Turcotti said that he had deleted it because the day was over and repeated that he thought it was a colourful design. When the swastika was pointed out, he replied: “Well, look, sometimes, coincidence. I have nothing to say.” According to La Verità, the following evening Turcotti said that he …More

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa of Jerusalem has expressed his condolences following the deaths of two Palestinian Christian women in an Israeli air strike on Gaza City. “With deep sorrow and grief,” the Patriarch mourned Maysa Khader Ibrahim Abu Daoud (Ayyad) and Mary Hafez Michel Najjar (Abu Daoud). The two women, who were mother and daughter, were killed in the strike on the night of October 2. On behalf of the Patriarchate, its clergy and faithful, Cardinal Pizzaballa extended his “deepest condolences” to the families of the two women and to Gaza’s Christian community. He prayed that their relatives and loved ones might find comfort, strength and hope in their loss. The funeral was held on Saturday, October 3, at the Greek Orthodox church St. Porphyrius in Gaza. Forty years after the scandalous Assisi meeting of 1986, Pope Leo XIV will take part in its anniversary gathering. On October 27, Leo XIV will travel to Assisi for the 40th anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for Peace convened by Pope John Paul II in 1986. Back then, a Buddha statue was placed on the tabernacle. The 2026 gathering, titled “Disarmed and Disarming Peace,” will bring together 384 representatives of religions, cultures and institutions from 53 countries. Leo XIV will preside over the Christian prayer for peace in the Lower Basilica together with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, while representatives of other religions will pray separately in different locations to their idols. The religious leaders will then gather in the Piazza Inferiore outside the Basilica of Saint Francis for the concluding ceremony and message of peace.
Leo XIV will attend the upcoming meeting in Assisi on October 27. This is the 40th anniversary of the 1986 Assisi scandal.
“Not to oppose error is to approve it; and not to defend truth is to suppress it, and, indeed, to neglect to confound evil men—when we can do it—is no less a sin than to encourage them.” Pope Saint Felix III
Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of ’s-Hertogenbosch: “I do not have to spend very much time convincing this audience that there is a crisis. And indeed, if I were beginning by saying, ‘My dear friends, everything is going splendidly,’ I suspect that you would immediately check whether I have been replaced by an employee of the communications department of the Vatican. And perhaps this is already the first difficulty. Catholics today fall in two groups. There are those who think the Church is experiencing an unprecedented springtime and those who have actually looked at the statistics.”
3 categories the 3rd being those who are quite well aware of the statistics and rejoice and are glad. Plainly they are not Catholic but no one is calling them out on their apostasy.
Pervert Jesuit finally laicised after decades of abuse. The Society of Jesus has expelled Spanish priest Francesc Peris, 84, from both the clerical state and the Jesuit order. A canonical penal process found him guilty of sexually abusing minors over several decades. However, Peris is cared for in a Jesuit residence. The punishment was announced on October 5. It comes more than two years after Peris himself admitted abusing minors. On May 7, 2024, the Jesuits publicly disclosed that Peris had “recently” acknowledged sexually abusing minors as far back as 1972. Yet when questioned by secular authorities in a Barcelona criminal investigation in October 2024, he denied the particular allegation being investigated. Peris was never convicted by a Spanish criminal court. Proceedings against him were ultimately closed because the alleged offences were considered time-barred. Spanish media have identified more than 20 victims, both boys and girls, with allegations spanning more than three decades. …More
