Madrid's homosexual activist group Crismhom published recently photos on social media from its attendance at Leo XIV's meeting with "civil society" during his visit to Spain. On June 7, the group became the first homosexual organization officially invited to a papal event in Spain. The invitation came from pro-homosexual Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid. Speaking to Artículo14.es, Crismhom president Ramón Legaspi Yrimia said the invitation showed "that the diverse Church exists and has a voice" and that "we, as LGBTI people, are part of the Church, not something foreign to it." Later that day, Crismhom members attended the Pope's public Eucharist in Madrid, where they called for recognition of Catholic homosexual activists "as first-class Christians" and demanded access to the sacrament of marriage (!)
