Worse than Germany: On 1 May, Don Dino Rampazzo celebrated a Eucharist outside Bar Grumo in Valdagno, Diocese of Vicenza, Italy. The event was part of a series of “traveling Eucharists” held in local neighbourhoods instead of churches. More than 80 people attended the service, which ended with drinks provided by the bar. Don Rampazzo said the initiative was intended to reach people outside traditional church settings, responding to criticism by saying: “God is wherever people are.”
