On the campus of the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College, also known as the Catholic University, homosexual symbols are displayed. These include a large banner and a rainbow crosswalk on St. Joseph Street. In a letter dated 2024, the president and vice-chancellor of St. Michael’s College wrote to a Toronto councilor that the student union had requested the rainbow crosswalk and that the administration supported the proposal. St. Michael’s College was founded in 1852 by the Congregation of St. Basil.

The document outlines the consistory's schedule and working methods. Cardinals are divided into 20 discussion groups. Participants are given a three-minute speaking limit in the first round and a two-minute limit in the second. Each group is required to prepare a written report. The letter states that disagreements should not be avoided, provided they are addressed respectfully. Participants are also instructed to maintain confidentiality and not to give interviews or statements to the press during the Consistory or disclose which cardinal made particular interventions.

One of the props was a paper bus labeled “La Scaloneta,” the popular nickname for Argentina’s national football team under Lionel Scaloni.
