This is how the left rots young minds with cute imagery and political euphemisms for state-controlled redistribution of private property and wealth.

This is how the left rots young minds with cute imagery and political euphemisms for state-controlled redistribution of private property and wealth.

Inequality: Unequal access to opportunities.
...except both kids have equal access to falling apples, so this example is wrong. Conversely, as a White person, I don't get equal access to minority-outreach programs, do I?

Equality?: Equally distributed tools and assistance.
...so where did the second kid get his ladder? Who did Uncle Sam take it from?

"Equally distributed" from whom by whom to whom? We've all seen how THAT works out. I pick four apples on my ladder and the government takes two of them away and gives them to the kid who dind't pick any. Now the apples are "equally distributed".

Equity: Custom tools that identify and address inequality.
Commonly seen with enrollment/ hiring/ promotion quotas. Inequality is "identified" based on leftist paradigms and "addressed" accordingly.

The hard work and merit that creates inequality is ignored in favor of other identifiers: race, favored religions, sexual orientations, gender.

The first kid bought his own ladder so the government gives the second kid a bigger ladder he didn't earn or deserve. How is that fair to the first kid? Especially since the government taxes his apples to pay for the second kid's ladder?

Justice: Fixing the system to offer equal access to both tools and opportunities.

See: entry above: Equity. Government mandated "fixes" that offer preferential access to favored groups at the expense of those who built their own tools and earned the "opportunities" they got.

Sharing: Make everyone happy.

"Everyone" being the left's chosen favored victim-groups, typically reliable voting blocs. The worst part of it all is, "everyone" will NEVER be happy "enough". They always want more and they always want everyone ELSE to pay for it.
