(The Battle of Lepanto, 7 October 1571) One of the unexpected ironies of modern times was the establishment of a Catholic church, the first and only one, in the Emirate of Qatar within the last decade. The former emir saw it as a concession to the considerable Christian (Catholic) community of expatriate workers. After the rise of Islam in Arabia and its conquests, all Christian institutions were destroyed and adherents to the teaching of Christ outlawed if not martyred. For Islam, the Quran is Allah’s book of laws for the conduct of worldly affairs – separation of God’s world from the state is itself haram, contrasting diametrically with the Christian precept: “render to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s." Mitchell P_CIA S.J. If someone is orthodox just how could he stay a Jesuit and promote the Jesuits? Hasn't has compromised some very basic moral principles in doing so? A good/sincere Catholic let alone even a good Christian cannot be part of a group that is now fully known to be corrupt (especially Chicago), for too long. It's like mixing oil and water. Father Mitch told me once before that back when he was the superior of the Jesuit House he was in charge of allowing all the homosexual Jesuits that he lived with an allowance so they could get their nice cashmere sweaters and their pallets full of bottled waters. Just how can a faithful Christian not run from that and shake their dust off his sandals? He should have become a Diocesan priest or switched to a more orthodox Religious community, but he hasn't. Just think about this a bit God-fearing Catholics!
