Cardinal Zen, “I fight the Vatican”

Hong Kong Cardinal emeritus Joseph Zen (85) said to the “Catholic Herald” that it would be “a disaster” if the Vatican accepts an agreement with the Communist regime in Beijing. According to him the Vatican pushes for a deal “at any cost”, but “things are not proceeding”, because the regime wants full control over the Church: "So for me that’s good.”

Cardinal Zen calls his life peaceful until the last period, "when unfortunately I’ve had to fight even the Vatican…”
