A five-judge Vatican tribunal has found Archbishop Anthony Apuron guilty of homosexually abusing young men decades ago. The tribunal announced its verdict in a short press release (March 16).
Apuron is “guilty of certain of the accusations”. He will be punished by a removal from office and a prohibition to live on the island Guam.
The presiding judge was Cardinal Raymond Burke, a noted canon lawyer.
