In November 2017 a postal plebiscite about gay pseudo-mariage will be held in Australia. The country's bishops called on August 15 to “vote no” and “to keep marriage as a unique relationship between a woman and a man.”
The bishops warn that in gay pseudo-marriage states the faithful may be forced to get involved in gay ceremonies contrary to their beliefs, that religious schools are not allowed to teach the truth about marriage and that institutions can no longer employ staff according to their believes, "We have seen each of these freedoms challenged overseas where the definition of marriage has changed."
Unfortunately, the bishops relativize their statement with a big but saying that their words are not a criticism of "other kinds of relationships” and homosexuals may enter other legal relationships than marriage.
According to Catholic teaching homosexual unions may in no way be approved or promoted by the state.

All this talk about Gay marriage. We do not resist, get upset or protest when a women is beaten in a marriage, priests encourage her to endure Violence. We do not dissolve or abolish a marriage when the husband is repeatedly unfaithful or the women is a drunk. Christ teaches us to love. Lets work on the real issue. Love is caring for one another who ever they be in any condition. Black, white, jew, prostitute, junkie, war hero, plastic surgeon, corrupt banker, race car driver, etc. all of them have small sins and sinful behavior and effect relationships and environment which surround them. We do not need a church to tell us this is in and this is out, we need to love and respect the rights of others who may not love God our way. That Is A Challenge.! The God we know and love has given us everything from the air we breath to the blessings of companionship. Let us build our lives around removing the logs from our own eyes.. leave the others to do the same in their time and place, IE drive your own car
