Abolishing Celibacy Will Be Irrevocable - Cardinal Eijk

Allowing married priests is no solution, Cardinal Willem Eijk of Utrecht, Netherlands, told the pro-Francis IlGiornale.it (December 13),

If celibacy would be abolished for certain territories "inequality" would arise, “Once it is decided in this way, it becomes irrevocable”, Eijk explained. This would mean the loss of a "splendid and fruitful centuries-old [apostolic] tradition of the Latin Church".

The cardinal further points out that remarried divorcees may not receive Communion and that this Catholic “long-time [apostolic] doctrine and practice” cannot be changed by footnotes [in Amoris Laetita] nor by [Francis'] inflight interviews.

Eijk underlines that Catholic doctrine “is valid for the whole world” and calls on Francis “to provide clarity on this”.

He opposes the situation created by Francis that "in one ecclesiastical province one thing is proposed and practiced, and in another something else is promulgated”.

Just another step in the revolution to destroy the Church. Next it will be accepting openly gay priests, then transgender ones then God only knows what's next.

Cardinal Eijk: "The Catholic Church's strength is, that her doctrine applies to the whole world. The dialogue with Protestants must not lead the Catholic Church to become Protestant herself."

It's a bit late for that. The protestantization of the Church has been moving along at quite a clip since that worthless council, starting with a protestantized liturgy.More
