Profile
The son of Albino della Croce and Sabina Nicodemo. Monk of Saint Peter‘s Abbey near Aquara, Italy, joining at the age of 15. Following his training, he served at Saint Peter‘s, at the Monte Cassino Abbey and in Salerno, Italy. Counselor to Prince Guaimaro in Salerno. Pilgrim to the Holy Lands. Founded the monastery of Santa Maria dell Albabeta near Montecassino, and served as its prior.

- relics re-enshrined in the nearby parish church of Saint Nicholas in 1500
- relics later re-enshrined in a silver reliquary
- the reliquary and relics were stolen on 23 March 1895 but later found hidden in a nearby collapsing farm house on 31 July 1895 and returned to the church in a procession
- a new silver reliquary was later fashioned, and the relics re-enshrined in it
- reliquary stolen again on 1 March 1975; it has not been recovered, the relics are lost, and the reliquary has been replaced by another statue
