Father of Saint Balbina of Rome. Jailer of Pope Saint Alexander I who brought him to the faith. Martyred in the persecution of Hadrian.
An old tradition in German areas says that the weather on Saint Quirin’s day (30 March in those regions) presages the weather for the coming summer.
