One of the Holy Innocents who died by order of King Herod.
- murdered in Bethlehem in Judea in the Massacre of the Innocents
- a bone from his skull was enshrined in the Benedictine abbey of Saint–Pierre in Brantôme (modern Brantôme-en-Périgord), France by Blessed Charlemagne in the early 9th century
- the relics are currently enshrined in a glass and bronze reliquary attached to the wall of the abbey church, the abbey itself having been suppressed in the French Revolution
