Monk at the Lerins abbey c.420. Friend of Saint Maximus of Riez. Fifth bishop of Fréjus, France. Ausilius was noted for his austerity, seeming more like a hermit than the bishops of the day. Martyred in the persecutions of the Arian king Henry of the Visigoths.
