
<p><strong>A Congolese migrant who had his deportation from the U.K. blocked by an airline’s cabin crew and previously campaigned outside a detention center with a sign that read, “Migrants are not criminals,” has pleaded guilty to raping a 15-year-old girl.</strong></p>



<p>Anicet Mayela entered his guilty plea at Oxford Crown Court last Friday for one count of rape of a former economics student. The court heard how there was a high level of “dangerousness” surrounding the attack, which is understood to have taken place between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31 last year.</p><div class="TF6xVvsh"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>The Congolese national had been living in Britain since 2004 when he paid smugglers to help him escape his country of origin where he claimed he was being persecuted.</p>



<p>Several attempts by the U.K. Home Office to deport him were thwarted by feigned injuries and legal challenges, including an incident back in May 2005 when a planned deportation flight was prevented from taking off by Air France cabin crew who claimed public officials had broken Mayela’s hand after handcuffing him.</p>



<p>With the aid of left-wing charities, including the Institute of Race Relations, and immigration lawyers, the Congolese national won leave to remain in Britain later that year after successfully arguing a return to his homeland would be a violation of his human rights.</p><div class="9NA5jbKl"><ul className="ifwTextAd"><li><a href="https://www.givesendgo.com/savealex"><p>URGENT! <p>Mayela used the opportunity to actively campaign against the deportation of illegal migrants, participating in a demonstration near his detention center in Oxford where he spoke to the BBC and hung a sign around his neck that read, “Migrants are not criminals.”</p>



<p>“I am here to support my friends. I have been inside here, and at Colnbrook,” he told the U.K.’s public broadcaster from outside the detention center.</p>



<p>On Friday, Mayela was ordered to remain in custody while a pre-sentencing report was prepared.</p><div class="VW1PWGfC"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>



<p>He is scheduled to return for sentencing on May 10.</p>

<p><strong>Now that a few years have passed since the first mRNA COVID-19 vaccines were administered, their effects on the immune system are becoming painfully obvious – and some medical experts are concerned about the potential impact on human health.</strong></p>

Instead, they used genetic material, or mRNA, to provide the instructions for producing the target viral protein. The mRNA is packaged inside a protective lipid nanoparticle that will help the genetic material make its way into the cells. There, it will produce the viral protein so the immune system can recognize it and create antibodies that will neutralize it. This is why many people are likening them to gene therapy injections.</p>



<p>While this may sound like an effective approach in theory, there are actually many shortcomings to the process. However, of greater concern to many people are the potential side effects, many of which are unknown because the technology is so new and there have been no long-term studies on the&nbsp;<a href="http://vaccinedamage.news/">effects of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines</a>.</p>



<p>We do know, however, that mRNA vaccines can cause a person&#8217;s immune system to become overstimulated, which is why so many people are experiencing inflammation and autoimmune reactions to the jabs. And while authorities claimed that the mRNA in these vaccines breaks down quickly and is eliminated by the body when they were pushing the jabs on the masses, this has turned out not to be the case at all.</p><div class="45LB6cbr"><ul className="ifwTextAd"><li><a href="https://www.givesendgo.com/savealex"><p>URGENT! <p>In fact, these vaccines were given emergency use authorization when clinical trials with them were only in phase 3 and real-world data was already showing a higher mortality rate among vaccinated individuals compared to those who were not vaccinated. They were also showing a higher risk of getting infected with the virus. This and other evidence pointed to COVID-19 vaccines destroying people&#8217;s natural immune responses.</p>



<h2>Activating latent viruses</h2>



<p>Another big risk of the jabs was severely underplayed by authorities: the activation of latent viruses. Many scientists were immediately concerned that these jabs could activate dormant viruses such as HIV and herpes and pushed for further research to be conducted into these risks before rolling out the shots.</p>



<p>Latent viruses can sit in the body in a dormant state for extended periods of time without causing any obvious symptoms. However, when the immune system is activated by mRNA jabs and produces chemokines and cytokines that signal molecules to recruit immune cells to the infection site, the cells may recognize and target latent viruses, activating and replicating them.</p><div class="iu7z0szm"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>



<p>In addition, we now know that mRNA from these vaccines does not degrade quickly and is not eliminated by the body rapidly. Instead, it multiplies millions of times and can make its way across the blood-brain barrier. This is why these vaccines are perfectly capable of activating latent viruses.</p>



<p>Another big problem with these vaccines is their potential to alter the ability of a person&#8217;s immune system to recognize and respond to other pathogens. This could compromise the immune system&#8217;s effectiveness when it comes to fighting off all types of infections and raise a person&#8217;s risk of disease. This may also help explain why there is a much higher mortality rate among the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated.</p>



<h2>Virologist warns of hospital collapse</h2>



<p>While mRNA vaccines are still the subject of ongoing research, early data shows that the benefits of these jabs do not come close to outweighing the potential risks, particularly when you consider their inability to prevent the transmission of the virus from person to person.</p>

How mRNA Covid-19 Vaccines Are Actually Destroying People’s Immune Systems


<p><strong>Ukraine’s ban on using the Russian language in the media will take full effect three months from now, Kiev’s state language protection commissioner, Taras Kremin, has said.</strong></p>

<p>The restrictions include a requirement for national media to predominantly use Ukrainian in broadcasts. <p>The push by Ukrainian nationalist leaders to impose the state language on Russian-speakers living in the east of the country was a major reason for locals’ rejection of the post-coup authorities. One of the first acts of those who seized power in Kiev was to abolish a law adopted in 2012, which gave the Russian language official regional status.</p>



<p>The new authorities have been adopting laws to eradicate Russian from all spheres of public life, including education, entertainment, and even services provided by private businesses.</p>

<p>By the time the pandemic lockdowns were initiated and the Fed dropped $8 trillion+ onto the economy through stimulus measures like covid checks and PPP loans, the total US money supply was already at destructive levels.&nbsp; The covid stimulus was simply the straw that broke the camel’s back.&nbsp; So, if you want to know who is directly to blame for your daily expenses rising 30% or more in the span of three years, the first set of criminals are the central bankers.</p>



<p>Governments and certain corporate partners are also to blame, but the central banks are the root mechanism for all inflationary movements.&nbsp; It’s my belief (according to the evidence) that central banks have deliberately triggered a stagflationary crisis with the intent to forcefully replace cash based economies with a new digital and cashless global economy.&nbsp; However, that’s a discussion for another article…</p>



<p><strong>Shortages And Core Resources</strong></p><div class="X9SAua5K"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>



<p>The other primary cause of rising prices is shortages or disruptions in key resources including oil and energy.&nbsp; Keep in mind that the war in Ukraine has led to the west being cut off from large portions of the resource rich Russian market.&nbsp; And, the war in Gaza has led to groups in the Middle East like the Houthis denying a multitude of cargo ships and oil tankers from traversing the Red Sea.</p>



<p>By themselves, each one of these events seems like a small threat to the global supply chain, but when they pile up together the effects become detrimental.&nbsp; For now, the biggest factor is rising energy prices because this is the key resource that allows all agriculture and manufacturing to function.&nbsp; Every time oil prices rise you’re going to see prices in everything else rise.</p>



<p>This is the exact reason why the Biden Administration continued to dump the US Strategic Oil Reserves on the market for the past couple years.&nbsp; This was their way of manipulating oil prices down in order to mitigate or hide the greater effects of inflation.&nbsp; Now that they’re being pressured to refill those reserves and start buying (at a much higher price) global oil prices and US prices in particular are spiking again.</p>



<p><strong>Media Disinformation And Crushing Food Costs</strong></p>



<p>Food costs have risen by 30% or more depending on the product since the beginning of 2020, and even though CPI reports several months ago showed a “slowdown” in overall inflation, this does not mean prices are going to go down anytime soon.&nbsp; In fact, they will only keep rising with each passing year.</p>



<p>CPI is a tool for measuring the AVERAGE price increases of over 80,000 products and services across a wide spectrum.&nbsp; Many of these items are not necessities and so they dilute the actual inflation we are seeing in everyday expenditures.&nbsp; If we were to look at an average of daily necessities like housing, energy, food, etc. then CPI would read far higher.</p>



<p>When the media touts a lower CPI print as a sign that the economy is improving, what they usually don’t mention is that the stat only represents how much higher prices are going to go.&nbsp; A lower CPI does not mean costs on the shelf are going to go down.&nbsp; Inflation is cumulative.</p>



<p>Meaning, that 30%+ increase in food that Americans have been dealing with – That’s not going away, it’s just not climbing as fast as it was.&nbsp; And, as we’ve seen in the past couple months, inflation has the ability to return just as quickly to add even more gasoline to the fire.</p>



<p>Not long ago I was reading through an&nbsp;<a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/food-prices-grocery-inflation-biden-economy/">article from CBS</a>&nbsp;that claimed they could explain why there’s been no respite in food prices lately.&nbsp; In reality the entire piece was disinformation, blaming every possible scapegoat while ignoring the real causes.</p>



<p>Their main explanation is “Greedflation,” or the claim that companies are overcharging on food items.&nbsp; In other words, blame businesses, don’t blame the Federal Reserve and don’t blame the government.&nbsp; They’re “innocent” in all of this.</p>



<p>So far there’s no concrete evidence to support the Greedflation theory.&nbsp; Every business has unique expenses, unique overhead, unique industrial costs, unique quality control and unique resource costs.&nbsp; One cookie company’s bottom line will be different from another cookie company’s bottom line.&nbsp; That said, there are universal costs that directly correlate to higher prices regardless of the company, and that includes energy, labor, and core commodities.</p>



<p>For those that track the markets it’s obvious that commodities are climbing.&nbsp; The&nbsp;<a href="https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/PPIIDC">Industrial Commodity Index</a>&nbsp;is far higher today than it was in 2020, along with oil and gas prices.&nbsp; Every base resource that companies use to make products is increasing in value and thus it costs them more to manufacture.&nbsp; Agriculture in particular is heavily affected by oil prices as well as prices in fertilizer and farming equipment, not to mention higher costs in labor.</p>



<p>From 2020 to 2023 the total costs paid by farmers to raise crops and care for livestock increased by more than $100 billion, or 28%, to an all-time high of $460 billion in 2023.&nbsp; Funny how that number tracks very close to the 30% increase in overall food prices since 2020.&nbsp; The establishment media wants you to believe that high food prices are going to go away soon, and in order to trick you they need to convince you that the cause is something that can be “controlled” or “regulated”.</p>



<p>There is no indication that agricultural costs are going to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.agriculture.senate.gov/newsroom/minority-blog/usda-says-high-farm-production-costs-not-easing-in-2024">stop increasing in the near future</a>, so, that means each year food is going to cost you more than the year before.&nbsp; It might even cost you MUCH more than the year before.</p>



<p>In conclusion, this is why people need to start looking at food as an investment similar to the way they might look at their 401K or any retirement plan.&nbsp; If you want to mitigate costs in the future in terms of food you will need to purchase foods with a long shelf life now.&nbsp; If you think that inflation is a passing phase and that things will go back to the way they were before 2020 then you probably won’t take this concern seriously.&nbsp; But, consider this:</p>



<p>Well before 2020 I was warning regularly about an impending stagflation crisis.&nbsp; The food storage I bought in 2020 now costs at least 30%-50% more to buy in 2024.&nbsp; Meanwhile, some of the top mainstream economists in the country were denying such a thing would ever happen.&nbsp; When it did happen, they claimed it was “transitory.”&nbsp; This was also proven false.&nbsp; Now they claim food will drop after companies are forced through regulation to cut prices.</p>



<p>Whether government intervenes or the market continues to react to poor fiscal policies, it is quickly becoming a necessity to invest in food security as soon as possible.&nbsp; Government enforced price controls have never actually proven effective in stopping inflation.&nbsp; Once you remove all profit incentives many businesses will close up shop.&nbsp; This causes the supply of goods to go down and prices then spike anyway due to shortages.</p>

<p>Maher went on to say lessons on censorship learned by Wikipedia during the pandemic were also applied to the 2020 US election and then to elections in other countries, with input from governments.</p>

<p>Also on Wednesday, footage circulated of a TED Talk Maher conducted in which she expressed that &#8220;reverence for the truth might be a distraction.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;Once and for all, the Senate has rightly voted down this baseless impeachment that even conservative legal scholars said was unconstitutional,&#8221; spokesperson Ian Sams said.</p>



<p>Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson (La.) released a statement on behalf of his caucus claiming the vote proves Democrats essentially endorse Biden&#8217;s open border policies carried out by Mayorkas.</p><div class="3dtqARz4"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>

<p>Just as the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/jun/07/patriot-act-violate-privacy">USA Patriot was perverted from its stated intent to fight terrorism abroad</a>&nbsp;and was instead used to covertly crack down on the American people (allowing government agencies to secretly track Americans’ financial activities, monitor their communications, and carry out wide-ranging surveillance on them),&nbsp;<a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/what-is-fisa-surveillance-law-in-spotlight/story?id=109138345">Section 702 has been used as an end-run around the Constitution</a>&nbsp;to allow the government to collect the actual content of your conversations (phone calls, text messages, video chats, emails and other electronic communication) without a warrant.</p>



<p>Now intelligence officials are pushing to dramatically expand the government’s spying powers, effectively giving the government unbridled authority to force millions of Americans to spy on its behalf.</p>



<p>Basically, the Deep State wants to turn the American people into extensions of Big Brother.</p><div class="TiMAgwrz"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>



<p>As Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.)&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wyden.senate.gov/news/press-releases/wyden-urges-colleagues-to-reject-expanding-warrantless-fisa-702-surveillance">explains</a>:</p>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>“<a href="https://www.wyden.senate.gov/news/press-releases/wyden-urges-colleagues-to-reject-expanding-warrantless-fisa-702-surveillance">If you have access to any communications, the government can force you to help it spy.</a>&nbsp;That means anyone with access to a server, a wire, a cable box, a Wi-Fi router, a phone, or a computer. So think for a moment about the millions of Americans who work in buildings and offices in which communications are stored or pass through.</p><p>After all, every office building in America has data cables running through it. The people are not just the engineers who install, maintain, and repair our communications infrastructure; there are countless others who could be forced to help the government spy, including those who clean offices and guard buildings. If this provision is enacted, the government can deputize any of these people against their will, and force them in effect to become what amounts to an agent for Big Brother—for example, by forcing an employee to insert a USB thumb drive into a server at an office they clean or guard at night.</p><p>This could all happen without any oversight whatsoever: The FISA Court won&#8217;t know about it, Congress won&#8217;t know about it. Americans who are handed these directives will be forbidden from talking about it. Unless they can afford high-priced lawyers with security clearances who know their way around the FISA Court, they will have no recourse at all.”</p></blockquote>



<p>This is how an effort to reform Section 702 has quickly&nbsp;<a href="https://www.commondreams.org/news/wyden-says-spying-bill-would-force-americans-to-become-an-agent-for-big-brotherhttps:/www.commondreams.org/news/wyden-says-spying-bill-would-force-americans-to-become-an-agent-for-big-brother">steamrollered into an expansion of the government’s surveillance powers</a>.</p>



<p>We should have seen this coming.</p>



<p>After all, the Police State doesn’t relinquish power easily, the Surveillance State doesn’t look favorably on anything that might weaken its control, and Big Brother doesn’t like to be restricted.</p>



<p>What most Americans don’t get is that even without Section 702 in play, the government will still target the populace for warrantless, suspicionless mass surveillance, because that’s how the police state maintains its stranglehold on power.</p>



<p>These maneuvers are just the tip of the iceberg.</p>



<p>For all intents and purposes, we now have a fourth branch of government.</p>



<p>This fourth branch came into being without any electoral mandate or constitutional referendum, and yet it possesses superpowers, above and beyond those of any other government agency save the military.</p>



<p>It is all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful.</p>



<p>It operates beyond the reach of the president, Congress and the courts, and it marches in lockstep with the corporate elite who really call the shots in Washington, DC.</p>



<p>The government’s “<a href="http://www.newyorker.com/books/page-turner/the-n-s-a-s-chief-chronicler">technotyranny</a>” surveillance apparatus has become so entrenched and entangled with its police state apparatus that it’s hard to know anymore where law enforcement ends and surveillance begins. They have become one and the same entity.</p>



<p>The police state has passed the baton to the surveillance state.</p>



<p>On any given day, the average American is now&nbsp;<a href="https://www.rutherford.org/publications_resources/john_whiteheads_commentary/the_age_of_no_privacy_the_surveillance_state_shifts_into_high_gear">monitored, surveilled, spied on and tracked in more than 20 different ways</a>&nbsp;by both government and corporate eyes and ears.</p>



<p>Every second of every day, the American people are being spied on by the U.S. government’s vast network of digital Peeping Toms, electronic eavesdroppers and robotic snoops.</p>



<p>Beware of what you say, what you read, what you write, where you go, and with whom you communicate, because it will all be recorded, stored and used against you eventually, at a time and place of the government’s choosing.</p>



<p>Privacy, as we have known it, is dead.</p>



<p>Whether you’re walking through a store, driving your car, checking email, or talking to friends and family on the phone, you can be sure that some government agency is listening in and tracking you. This doesn’t even begin to touch on the complicity of the corporate sector, which buys and sells us from cradle to grave, until we have no more data left to mine. These corporate trackers monitor your purchases, web browsing, Facebook posts and other activities taking place in the cyber sphere and share the data with the government.</p>



<p>Just about every branch of the government—from the Postal Service to the Treasury Department and every agency in between—<a href="https://nsa.gov1.info/partners/index.html">now has its own surveillance sector</a>, authorized to collect data and spy on the American people. Then there are the fusion and counterterrorism centers that gather all of the data from the smaller government spies—the police, public health officials, transportation, etc.—and make it accessible for all those in power.</p>



<p>These government snoops are constantly combing through and harvesting vast quantities of our communications, then storing it in massive databases for years. Once this information—collected illegally and without any probable cause—is ingested into NSA servers, other government agencies can often search through the databases to make criminal cases against Americans that have nothing to do with terrorism or anything national security-related.</p>



<p>Empowered by advances in surveillance technology and emboldened by rapidly expanding public-private partnerships between law enforcement, the Intelligence Community, and the private sector, police have become particularly&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/police-jackson-mississippi-want-access-live-home-security-video-alarming-n1249566">adept at sidestepping the Fourth Amendment</a>.</p>



<p>Talk about a system rife for abuse.</p>



<p>Now, the government wants us to believe that we have nothing to fear from its mass spying program because they’re only looking to get the “bad” guys who are overseas.</p>



<p>Don’t believe it.</p>



<p>The government’s definition of a “bad” guy is extraordinarily broad, and it results in the warrantless surveillance of innocent, law-abiding Americans on a staggering scale.</p>



<p>Indeed, the government has become the biggest lawbreaker of all.</p>



<p>It’s telling that even after it was revealed that the FBI, one of the most power-hungry and corrupt agencies within the police state’s vast complex of power-hungry and corrupt agencies,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/05/19/fbi-jan-6-section-702-fisa-database-americans/">misused a massive government surveillance database more than 300,000 times</a>&nbsp;in order to target American citizens, we’re still debating whether they should be allowed to continue to sidestep the Fourth Amendment.</p>



<p>This is how the government operates, after all: our objections are routinely overruled and our rights trampled underfoot.</p>



<p>It works the same every time.</p>



<p>First, the government seeks out extraordinary powers acquired in the wake of some national crisis—in this case,&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/justice-department-fbi-surveillance-75c466a64e838ab12eaef96f6335f3cd">warrantless surveillance powers intended to help the government spy on foreign targets suspected of engaging in terrorism</a>—and then they use those powers against the American people.</p>



<p>According to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/19/us/politics/fbi-violated-surveillance-program-rules.html">the FBI repeatedly misused Section 702</a>&nbsp;in order to spy on the communications of two vastly disparate groups of Americans: those involved in the George Floyd protests and those who may have taken part in the Jan. 6, 2021, protests at the Capitol.</p>



<p>This abuse of its so-called national security powers is par for the course for the government.</p>



<p>According to the Brennan Center for Justice, intelligence agencies conduct roughly&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/years-section-702-reform-part-vi-another-looming-deadline">200,000 of these warrantless “backdoor” searches</a>&nbsp;for Americans’ private communications&nbsp;<em>each year</em>.</p>



<p>No one is spared.</p>



<p>Many of the targets of these searches have done nothing wrong.</p>



<p>Government agents have spied on the communications of protesters, members of Congress,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/years-section-702-reform-part-vi-another-looming-deadline">crime victims, journalists, and political donors</a>, among many others.</p>



<p>The government has claimed that its spying on Americans is simply “incidental,” as though it were an accident, but it fully intends to collect this information.</p>



<p>As journalist Jake Johnson warns, under an expanded Section 702, U.S. intelligence agencies “could, without a warrant,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.commondreams.org/news/wyden-says-spying-bill-would-force-americans-to-become-an-agent-for-big-brother">compel gyms, grocery stores, barber shops, and other businesses to hand over communications data</a>.”</p>



<p>According to the&nbsp;<em>Wall Street Journal</em>, “The Securities and Exchange Commission is deploying a massive government database—the Consolidated Audit Trail, or CAT—that&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-securities-and-exchange-commission-is-watching-you-surveillance-4e782f82">monitors in real time the identity, transactions and investment portfolio of everyone who invests</a>&nbsp;in the stock market.”</p>



<p>Journalist Leo Hohmann reports that the government is also handing out&nbsp;<a href="https://leohohmann.com/2023/09/11/exclusive-homeland-security-awards-20-million-in-grants-to-police-mental-health-networks-universities-churches-and-school-districts-to-help-identify-americans-as-potential-extremists/">$20 million in grants to police, mental health networks, universities, churches and school districts</a>&nbsp;to enlist their help in identifying Americans who might be political dissidents or potential “extremists.”</p>



<p>Ask the government why it’s carrying out this far-reaching surveillance on American citizens, and you’ll get the same Orwellian answer the government has been trotting in response to every so-called crisis to justify its assaults on our civil liberties: to keep America safe.</p>



<p>What this is really all about, however, is control.</p>



<p>What we are dealing with is a government so power-hungry, paranoid and afraid of losing its stranglehold on power that it is conspiring to wage war on anyone who dares to challenge its authority.</p>



<p>When the FBI is asking banks and other financial institutions to carry out&nbsp;<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/alarming-surveillance-feds-asked-banks-search-private-transactions-terms-maga-trump">dragnet searches of customer transactions</a>—warrantlessly and without probable cause—for “extremism” indicators broadly based on where you shop, what you read, and how you travel, we’re all in trouble.</p>



<p>You don’t have to do anything illegal.</p>



<p>For that matter, you don’t even have to challenge the government’s authority.</p>



<p>Frankly, you don’t even have to care about politics or know anything about your rights.</p>



<p>All you really need to do in order to be tagged as a suspicious character, flagged for surveillance, and eventually placed on a government watch list is live in the United States.</p>



<p>As long as the government is&nbsp;<a href="https://www.rutherford.org/publications_resources/john_whiteheads_commentary/360_degree_surveillance_how_police_use_public_private_partnerships_to_spy_on_americans">allowed to weaponize its 360 degree surveillance technologies</a>&nbsp;to flag you as a threat to national security, whether or not you’ve done anything wrong, it’s just a matter of time before you find yourself wrongly accused, investigated and confronted by police based on a data-driven algorithm or risk assessment culled together by a computer program run by artificial intelligence.</p>

<p><strong>A Boeing quality control engineer testified to Congress that he highlighted numerous problems with the company&#8217;s 787 and 777 Dreamliner fleet, only to be shut down by his superiors, and thinks the entire fleet of jets should be grounded.</strong></p>



<p>Asked point-blank by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), &#8220;Are these planes safe?&#8221; engineer Sam Salepour responded, &#8220;Right now, I could not.&#8221;</p><div class="ehw0pdYG"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>&#8220;From what I&#8217;ve seen, the airplanes are not being built per spec and per requirements,&#8221; Salehpour said, adding safety checks aren&#8217;t being properly done on older planes for stressed components.</p>

This seems very small &#8211; Boeing&#8217;s PR team like to call it the width of a human hair &#8211; but when you are operating at 35,000 feet, details are that the size of a human hair can be a matter of life and death.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;In a rush to address these bottlenecks in production, Boeing hit problems pushing pieces together with excessive force to make them appear that the gaps don&#8217;t exist, even though they exist, the gap didn&#8217;t actually go away, and this may result in premature fatigue failure effectively.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>&#8220;I want to make clear that I have raised these issues over three years. I was ignored. I was told not to create delays. I was told, frankly, to shut up.&#8221;</p>



<p>Salehpour further informed Senate members that after he highlighted the issues, he faced retaliation, including being removed from projects, excluded from meetings, and subjected to harassment by his supervisor.</p>

<p>&#8220;At one point, Boeing management got sick of me raising these issues and moved me out of the 787 program into the 777 program,&#8221; he said, going on to say he also found problems with those planes, adding he saw &#8220;people jumping on pieces of the airplane to get them to align.&#8221;</p>



<p>&#8220;Again, I raised concerns internally. I was sidelined. I was told to shut up. I received physical threats,&#8221; the engineer described, going on to mention one instance in which his boss stated, &#8220;I would have killed someone who said what you said in a meeting.&#8221;</p>



<p>Salehpour also believed someone at work punctured or slashed his vehicle&#8217;s tires while he was at work.</p>

<p>The whistleblower told Congress he&#8217;s concerned the company could further retaliate against him, but that he&#8217;s ultimately at peace for shedding light on the issues.</p>



<p>&#8220;It really scares me, believe me, but I am at peace,&#8221; he said, adding, &#8220;If something happens to me, I am at peace because I feel like coming forward, I will be saving a lot of lives.&#8221;</p>



<p>In a comment to <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/rcna148063" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NBC</a>, Boeing replied: &#8220;These claims about the structural integrity of the 787 are inaccurate. The issues raised have been subject to rigorous engineering examination under FAA oversight.&#8221;</p>



<p>Salehpour&#8217;s testimony comes as another Boeing whistleblower, former quality control manager John Barnett, was <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.infowars.com/posts/boeing-whistleblower-found-dead-in-parking-lot-from-self-inflicted-gunshot-wound/" target="_blank">found dead in a hotel parking lot</a> in Charleston, South Carolina, last March, reportedly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.</p>



<p>Barnett was embroiled in a lawsuit with Boeing and had been raising concerns about problems he observed while working at Boeing’s North Charleston plant, warning the BBC in 2019 that, as a result of hasty mass production, the company’s 787 Dreamliner fleet had numerous safety issues, including that some planes had been improperly retrofitted with “sub-standard” salvaged parts.</p>

Boeing Quality Engineer Testifies He Tried Warning Company of Safety Issues With Planes — And Was Silenced


<p><strong>The <a href="https://www.ssa.gov/history/35act.html">Social Security Act</a> is considered the first federal social welfare program in American history, being signed into law by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1935. American government pensions have existed for government employees and veterans since the Civil War, and private pension systems even longer. There was not great support for a public pension system in the US, as voluntary association and self-sufficiency was the standard. An example of this is the fact that nearly 90 percent of people over sixty-five in New York were not reliant on any sort of organized private, or public assistance programs prior to <a href="https://archive.org/details/fdrsfollyhowroos00powe/page/n7/mode/2up">1935</a>.</strong></p>



<p>Some assume that the Great Depression would automatically lead to an absolute devastation of the private pension system. Fortunately, this was not the case. More than 85 percent of private pension plans in existence operated normally during 1932. FDR would champion a social security bill in 1935, arguing that it was true insurance for all retirees. Amendments were introduced, including an amendment to allow Americans to opt out if their private pension system was more lucrative. It was not included in the final act, thus killing any competition in the pension&nbsp;<a href="https://archive.org/details/fdrsfollyhowroos00powe/page/n7/mode/2up">system</a>. One main argument against a compulsory social security system was that it could discourage hiring, as it would increase the cost associated with each employee. So, during the worst depression in modern American history, through the payroll tax, the president championed legislation which would force older people out of work and discourage business owners from hiring more labor.</p><div class="5DhRjXw8"><div id="fullAd"></div></div>



<p>The historic effectiveness of the Social Security program must be evaluated, and ideally compared to the private pension systems which are becoming less and less prevalent. The Social Security Administration’s published outcome indicators are meant to be a starting point but come with additional complications and red flags. Data provided an&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ssa.gov/policy/docs/ssb/v65n1/v65n1p70.html">available report</a>&nbsp;is mainly from the years of 1998-2002, it is thus extremely limited in its reporting. The report claims that it achieves high levels of eligibility and of utilization. This is of course, true, and would be true of any governmental program which is compulsory. The data provided shows a decrease in labor force participation of men between the ages of 25-54, but an increase of participation for men from the ages of 55 to 64. Participation also increased for men 65 and up. This trend should show some indication as to how Social Security benefits may not have benefited the government’s intended demographic.</p>



<p>The next indicators used are measures of adequacy, equity, and reliance. The main data presented for the five years given indicates how much a person receives from benefits in relation to their previous monthly income. Those from lower incomes will see up to a 70 percent match to their previous monthly income, while those in the high-income bracket may see as low as 30 percent. There is also data which suggests an overall decrease in poverty during a four-year period, but it is unclear if this is due solely to this program. The study points to a supposed increased level of reliability, as the percentage of families using OASDI for 50 percent, 90 percent, and 100 percent of their income slightly increased during the five-year time frame given. An increase of only 1-3 percentage points in each category is seen, which does not seem immediately significant.</p>



<p>Benefits to those who are temporarily disabled are next examined. The report admits that only a small fraction of recipients makes over their designated income amount, indicating Substantial Gainful Activity, (SGA). This simply means that a very small fraction of receivers worked enough to trigger the suspension, or termination of SSI benefits. Put into numbers, from the years 1999-2002, an average of 6.8 percent of SSI recipients worked at some capacity; and only .6 percent of working recipients met SGA requirements, with the rest working at, or below it. <p>The final indicator is the use of private pension plans. The administration notes that around 50 percent of the US population has been part of a private pension plan since the 1970s, with&nbsp;<a href="https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/IF/IF12007">participantes dwindling greatly</a>. The data notes that older individuals increasingly have insufficient savings to supplement Social Security payments, and that pension plans are being transitioned to defined contribution plans, which have associated risks that come with market changes.</p>



<p>This government report from over two decades ago is lackluster at best. The SSA failed to meet some of its own KPIs, while others were faulty from the start. While there are high levels of eligibility and utilization, this is not a marker of the necessity or effectiveness of said program, but simply how well the federal government has a grasp on coercive implementation. The Social Security Act is binding, and the components are seen by many as compulsory, with a complicated exemption process. It is not surprising that most of the population is eligible for this extremely accessible, and heavily subsidized program. The second indicator points to the reliability of the program. It is true that the number of participants using benefits for 50 percent or more of their income did rise slightly during the timeframe given. This amount is not significant and has potential negative externalities. Increased reliance on federal programs is not a sign that a program is beneficial for the economy; it is a sign that a program is siphoning participants away from the private sector, thus leading to more individuals who are reliant on the tax-funded program. This is problematic, especially as the program’s funding relies on the working, and thus taxed, population. More low-income participants means less funding for the system to tap into for future users.</p>



<p>Those who are temporarily placed on Social Security benefits are very unlikely to come off, as indicated by this data. One can point to human nature, the unemployment levels of the years examined, or to other factors, but the data is clear that the benefits greatly discouraged a meaningful return to the workforce during the four-year period that was measured. In the long term, this is a problem, as young working people need to contribute to the system to make it work. The use of private pension plans is then examined. There is no comparison to the cost efficiency of private plans, but simply the fact that roughly half of American adults have access to a private plan, and have had access since the 1970s. Older adults having far less savings is also not an ideal outcome, as the state is not immune to the effects of inflation or an insolvent program, thus potentially harming the quality of life seen by SSI users.</p><div class="VYa2Vm0E"><div id="ifwAd"></div></div>



<p>There are warning signs which point to the Social Security fund being insolvent by the year&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ssa.gov/policy/docs/ssb/v70n3/v70n3p111.html">2035</a>. This short window into the effectiveness of this system should give clues as to why. Employers must pay more to hire an individual, leading to a marketplace where low-skilled workers are constantly priced out. This has worsened in recent years, as even recent college graduates are having trouble finding meaningful employment. Employers would also rather have the option to spend less to match their workers’ 401k, or similar fund, rather than provide a set pension.</p>



<p>This is the case, as Social Security is often seen as primary support, rather than supplementary. As more people become eligible for benefits, fewer are working to fund these benefits. Birthing rates have also dropped significantly when compared to the rates of 1935. Finally, these plans are not competitive. Employers used to pride themselves on the excellent retirement funds/pensions which were made available to employees. Rather than rely on innovation to create more meaningful retirement plans, the state has imposed a one-size fits all plan onto the American public. FDR, in his attempt to signal his goodwill to desperate Americans, championed a policy which was doomed to harm future generations.</p>
