SDF offers condolences to families of government soldiers killed in Turkish attack

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sent on Monday a letter of condolence to the families of the Syrian government soldiers who were killed during the past two days in a Turkish bombing of north and northeastern Syria.

“The SDF General Command extends its deepest condolences to the families of the Syrian army’s victims who lost their lives in the brutal Turkish bombing on areas in north and northeast Syria, and we wish those wounded a speedy recovery,” the SDF said.

The SDF noted that Turkey seeks to occupy more Syrian territory and settle “terrorist groups” in these lands, in addition to targeting all forces that reject “Turkish colonial projects.”

The SDF added that would preserve the unity of the Syrian people in the face of “the Turkish occupation and its removal.”

Since Sunday mid-night, the Turkish forces have repeatedly bombarded with airstrikes and artillery shells areas and villages in Aleppo northern countryside, and specifically military posts of the government forces, killing no less than 15 soldiers and wounding others.
