Three Days of Darkness 2023: How to Prepare?
The Three Days of Darkness refers to a Catholic prophecy of chastisement and then hope, that is very similar to the plagues of Egypt.
We will go more into these prophecies and their origin in the bible, later on in this article.
2022 update: When we hear about wars and rumors of wars, including the prospect of nuclear war, we cannot help but think about the prophecy of the Three days of Darkness.

What are we to think of the “Three Days of Darkness” in 2022?
Have you ever heard of the Three Days of Darkness? Do you have beeswax candles ready? Are you one of these Catholics who have never heard of it because it was not spoken of in your household, when you were a child?
When I first heard about the Three Days of Darkness, I wavered between being amused and being spooked. The only time I had heard about any type of end times prophecies was in Protestant books like “Left Behind”, which describes the “Great Tribulation”, a catastrophic time of Christian persecution, and horrific natural disasters and plagues of biblical proportions, after a so-called rapture.
To my surprise, there are end times prophecies that some, not all, Catholics believe in. However, more Catholics believe in the Three Days of Darkness than you might imagine.
One of these is the Three Days of Darkness prophecy.

Where is the Three Days of Darkness in the Bible?
The idea of a three days of darkness is not unique. In fact, it gets its origin from Exodus 22, in which there was darkness for three days in Egypt.
“And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch out they hand towards heaven: and may there be darkness upon the land of Egypt, so thick that it may be felt. 22 And Moses stretch forth his hand towards heaven: and there came horrible darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.”

There are some similarities between the Three Days of Darkness and the passage in Exodus.
- During the Three Days of Darkness, darkness covers the earth. The Ninth plague in Exodus involves a darkness that covers the earth.
- During the Three Days of Darkness, everyone has to stay inside their homes, lest they be harmed by the creatures that are outside. In Exodus, the Israelites had to stay inside their homes, while the angel of death passed over the people of Egypt.
- One of the Three Days of Darkness prophecies says, “the wind will carry with it poisonous gases which will be diffused over the entire earth.” We all remember seeing the movie “The Ten Commandments, where the angel of death takes the form of a gas/vapor.
- After the Three Days of Darkness, there will be an era of peace. After the Egyptian plague, the Israelites were freed.

Where Else is There a Reference to the Three Days of Darkness in the Bible?
Another verse that seems to refer to a time of darkness is Ezekiel 34: 11-12.
“ For thus saith the Lord God: Behold I myself will seek my sheep, and will visit them. As the shepherd visiteth his flock in the day when he shall be in the midst of his sheep that were scattered, so will I visit my sheep, and will deliver them out of all the places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.”

This above quote doesn’t mention the number of days, but it gives reassurance that his sheep will have safety during a time of darkness. Whether that refers to the Three Days of Darkness or not, is debatable.
Aside from biblical references, we have quite a few mystics that refer to a “Three Days of Darkness“.
So now that we’ve looked at the biblical verses that seem to refer to the Three Days of Darkness, let’s look at what the mystics say.
Marie Julie Jahenny
Throughout history, various seers and even saints, have alluded to a coming terrifying chastisement that would last for three days. Marie Julie Jahenny, born in 1850 in France, was a Third Order Franciscan mystic who also had visions about the Three Days of Darkness.
“This concept of chastisement through darkness returned in a big way during the last part of the 18th century — around the time of the French Revolution — and then through the 19th century, when a flurry of mystics, including luminaries such as Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, foresaw a time of extraordinary blackness. Although they started out as relatively mild (at La Salette, an unapproved part of a prophecy called for three days of “convulsions”), such predictions gained momentum through the decades as mystics added their own, often sensational details. It would be a worldwide chastisement, claimed Marie Julie Jahenny of Coyault, France. Day would be as night, they warned. Night would be like a coal mine. The darkness would be almost palpable. Claimed Jahenny, who was born in 1850 (according to one website):
The three days of darkness “will be on a Thursdays, Friday, and Saturday. Days of the Most Holy Sacrament, of the Cross and Our Lady. . . .” three days less one night.”
“The earth will be covered in darkness,” she quoted the Virgin Mary as saying on 20th of September 1882, and hell will be loosed on earth. “Thunder and lightning will cause those who have no faith or trust in My Power, to die of fear.”
“During these three days of terrifying darkness, no windows must be opened, because no one will be able to see the earth and the terrible color it will have in those days of punishment without dying at once… “
“The sky will be on fire, the earth will split… During these three days of darkness let the blessed candle be lighted everywhere, no other light will shine…. “
“NO ONE OUTSIDE A SHELTER.. will survive. The earth will shake as at the judgment and fear will be great. Yes, we will listen to the prayers of your friends; NOT ONE WILL PERISH. We will need them to publish the glory of the Cross….” (8th of December 1882)”.

Bl. Anna-Maria Taigi (1769-1837) , was an Italian, wife, mother and mystic. She received prophecies from the last days, which included… you guessed it, a darkness for 3 days.
“God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions and other evils; it shall originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. All the enemies of the Church, secret as well as known, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of some few, whom God will soon after convert. The air shall be infested by demons, who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms.
“After the three days of darkness, Saints Peter and Paul, having come down from heaven, will preach throughout the world and designate a new Pope. A great light will flash from their bodies and settle upon the cardinal, the future pontiff. Then Christianity will spread throughout the world. Whole nations will join the Church shortly before the reign of the Antichrist. These conversions will be amazing. Those who survive shall have to conduct themselves well. There shall be innumerable conversions of heretics, who will return to the bosom of the Church; all will note the edifying conduct of their lives, as well as that of other Catholics. Russia, England and China will come into the Church.
“France will fall into frightful anarchy. The French people shall have a desperate civil war, in which old men themselves will take up arms. The political parties having exhausted their blood and their rage, without being able to arrive at any satisfactory understanding, shall at the last extremity agree by common consent to have recourse to the Holy See. Then the Pope shall send France a special legate, in order that he may examine the state of affairs and the dispositions of the people. In consequence of the information received, His Holiness himself shall nominate a most Christian king for the government of France…
“Religion shall be persecuted, and priests massacred Churches shall be closed, but only for a short time. The Holy Father shall be obliged to leave Rome.”

Padre Pio & the Three Days of Darkness?
It is said that Padre Pio wrote a private letter to the Commission of Heroldsbach appointed by the Vatican.
Whether the quotes are authentic or not, is hard to say, but here is some of the things he might have said, that seems to describe three days of darkness.
“My son, My son, I have been longing for this hour in which I again shall reveal to you the great love of My heart . . . Pray and make reparation to Me. Admonish others to do the same because the time is near at hand in which I shall visit My unfaithful people because they have not heeded the time of My grace. Persevere in prayer, so that your adversary shall have no dominion over you. Tell My people to be prepared at all times, for My judgment shall come upon them suddenly and when least expected – and not one shall escape My hands, I shall find them all! I shall protect the just.
Watch the sun and moon and the stars of the Heavens. When they appear to be unduly disturbed and restless, know that the day is not far away. Stay united in prayer and watching until the angel of destruction has passed your doors. Pray that these days will be shortened.
“Keep your windows well-covered. Do not look out. Light a blessed candle, which will suffice for many days. Pray the Rosary. Read spiritual books. Make acts of Spiritual Communion, also acts of love, which are so pleasing to Us. Pray with outstretched arms, or prostrate on the ground, in order that many souls may be saved. Do not go outside the house. Provide yourself with sufficient food. The powers of nature shall be moved and a rain of fire shall make people tremble with fear. Have courage! I am in the midst of you.”
“That you may be prepared for these visitations, I will give you the following signs and instructions: The night will be very cold. The wind will roar. After a time thunderbolts will be heard. Lock all the doors and windows. Talk to no one outside the house. Kneel down before a crucifix, be sorry for your sins, and beg My Mother’s protection. Do not look during the earthquake, because the anger of God is holy!” Jesus does not want us to behold the anger of God, because God’s anger must be contemplated with fear and trembling.
“Those who disregard this advice will be killed instantly. The wind will carry with it poisonous gases which will be diffused over the entire earth. Those who suffer and die innocently will be martyrs and they will be with Me in My Kingdom. Satan will appear to have triumphed. But in three nights, the earthquake and fire will cease. On the following day the sun will shine again, angels will descend from Heaven and will spread the spirit of peace over the earth. A feeling of immeasurable gratitude will take possession of those who survive this most terrible ordeal, the impending punishment, with which God will visit the earth since creation.”
When it comes to Padre Pio & the three days of darkness, if the letter is authentic, he did adhere to the prophecies.

The Proximate Signs of The Three Days of Darkness
The proximate signs serve as a warning that we should prepare ourselves for the soon-to-arrive Three Days of Darkness. This is when you would buy and stock up on any food supplies, clothes and water, and other survival supplies.
Here are the proximate signs.
- Flouting of church laws, irreverence and immodesty in church, fall in attendance at church.
- Lack of charity towards others, heartlessness, indifference, divisions, contentions, godlessness, pride in human knowledge.
- Breakdown of family life: immorality, adultery, perversion of youth (e.g. homosexuals giving lectures in schools), immodest fashions (e.g. mini-skirts and hot pants, bikinis and see-throughs), people concerned only with eating, drinking, dancing and other pleasures.
- Civil commotions, contempt for authority, downfall of governments, confusion in high places, corruption, coups d’etat, civil war, revolution. (The first four proximate signs have already come to pass, at least partly; for we are yet to see civil war and revolution in the West. But the sequence of events is not strictly chronological; there is room for some overlapping. Thus, the 5th proximate sign seems to have begun also.)
- Floods and droughts, crop failures, unusual weather, tornadoes, earthquakes, tidal waves, famines, epidemics, unknown diseases (e.g. new strains of viruses).
- Pope fleeing rome and world war 3 commencing.
- The triumph of the Immaculate Heart occurs therein after in the true renewal which is a restoration of tradition. There will be a great ecumenical council to remove the new mass, to undo the revolution of Vatican 2 and the proclamation of Mary as Co-Redemptrix. The Warning (of the Three Days of Darkness)
The Warning will take place after the proximate signs and immediately before the immediate signs. It will be a supernatural event – quite frightening, but it will not cause any harm. This will be God’s last warning to us.
According to Marie-Julie Jahenny,
“The days will be beginning to increase (days get longer on Dec 22). It will not be at the height of summer nor during the longer days of the year (summer time), but when the days are still short (winter time). It will not be at the end of the year, but during the first months (of the year) that I shall give My clear warnings.
That day of darkness and lightning will be the first that I shall send to convert the impious, and to see if a great number will return to Me, before the Great Storm (Chastisement) which will closely follow. (The darkness and lightning of) that day will not cover all of France, but a part of Brittany will be tried by it. (However) on the side on which is found the land of the mother of My Immaculate Mother (the land of St. Anne) will not be covered by darkness to come, up to your place (home of Marie-Julie) . . . All the rest will be in the most terrible fright. From one night to the next — one complete day —, the thunder will not cease to rumble. The fire from the lightnings will do a lot of damage, even in the closed homes where someone will be living in sin.

The Immediate Signs of the Three Days of Darkness
Are you ready? This is where the scary stuff comes in. According to the website, this is what will happen during the Three Days of Darkness.
Some people, especially children, will be taken up to heaven beforehand to spare them the horror of these days. People caught outdoors will die instantly. Three-quarters of the human race will be exterminated, more men than women. No one will escape the terror of these days.”

Prophecy for Today: A Summary of the Catholic Tradition Concerning the End-of-Time Era

All will be lovely, but that will not be the end, unfortunately.
The Antichrist will eventually come and that will be a horrible time.

What is the Catholic Church’s Position on the Three Days of Darkness?
Finally, we know what the mystics say, but what is the official Church position on the Three Days of Darkness?
The Catholic Church’s official position on private revelations, is that they are not binding on the faithful. Some believe in a literal Three Days of Darkness while some believe it is figurative.
In any case, it’s clear to almost everyone that we are in a time of depravity and disobedience of God’s laws that can only culminate in God’s chastisement.
Therefore, it would be prudent to prepare.

Also, the threedaysofdarkness.com website is run by a sedevacantist (Pope Gregory XVII…really?). That is usually a bad sign as they are very deceptive in their attempts to seduce people who are new to Tradition into joining their phony religion.

The three days of darkness ; Thursday night , Friday and Saturday occur on “The days of “The most holy sacrament of the cross of our Lady” celebrated on May 13th. The next Thursday on a May 13th is in 2021. The 3 days are attributed to the “war” of 1950. The only war of 1950 was the ” Korean war”. From this point on, it becomes pure speculation, all that you have just read is prophecy.
Things will gradually build up to that – it will not hit all at once out of the blue.

I would like to comment on this since you probably never actually looked at the whole Marie Julie Jahney’s visions. There is a two intermitant days of darkness first, that’s the Rome one, and the one that puts the last great christian monarch in. The three days corrisponds with armogeddon, note six seal in Bible and the order of the seven plagues of Egypt. There is a long list of saints and seers who predict the 3 Days Darkness – these predictions go way way back.
And don’t forget the “Illumination of Conscience”, our last chance from God giving us a moment when all will be forced to see their consciences as they truly are, and a last chance to convert. Some will be so shocked by the true state of their souls they will die. This is supposed to happen sometime before hand. It will be very short and worldwide, no one will escape.

1. Private revelations are not intended to be part of Catholic teaching, beyond a few. However I believe Pope John Paul II believed this was possible.
2. The wax candles to be blessed must be made of BEESWax! Plain wax is not what was indicated.

I am not what you would say as Religious in any way, i guess you would say i am Agnostic. i do believe in the “Possibility” of certain things to be true. though i believe that there is possibly a god, or possibly going to be an apocalypse, i am curious to know why this three days of darkness would be Gods wrath. I might not believe in god, but it does not make me a bad person. i have helped people who needed help, i have donated time for those who needed it. i have never cheated, i have never killed. if i believed in any god it would not change how am i. the only thing that would change is my belief in god or not. so when seeing this three days of night as a way for those to be punished. i am confused as to why god would punish 75% of society after giving us free will and if the only bad thing we did was not believe in something due to the only evidence we have is a story of a man, and a book that predated most of man kind. the Bible itself has been remade and manipulated by mankind for its own political gain and many other things. like a game of telephone. one person says something and whispered down the line, when it gets to the end the story had changed so dramatically that where it was lost in translation can’t really be determined. i can’t say what the truth is out there, and yes many will believe in things they are told because of their faith in others. but let me ask this. Have you ever used pornography or intoxicating drugs (including alcohol in sufficient quantities to become drunk)? Unless you thoroughly examine your own conscience, you do not know the true degree of your own sinfulness.
There are archaeological discoveries that back up the historicity of the Bible; numerous artifacts and villages, burials, etc. Not to mention the Dead Sea Scrolls and how that proves the Bible has stayed the same. Look into the shroud of Turin and you’ll see that it’s not a hoax. Listen to the stories of people who have experienced NDE’s. The prophecies of the Bible that have been fulfilled with the latest being the reestablishment of Israel as a nation. Check out the Vatican and see how it’s been infiltrated by a truly evil force some would call Satan. Look at the buildings there that hint of the serpent. Even cutting edge science is beginning to step into the realm of the spiritual. I could go on but there’s too much. There are a lot of things in this world that if show there is more than something to the Bible.

Yes no-one could cast the first some because all have sinned. Same as now. But the biggest sin that God will punish is pride, stubbornness and rebellion – refusal to believe that He is Who He says He is. So the ones who believe that Jesus is God, that He died for our sins, was laid in a grave and rose again after 3 days, those people alone will be saved – no ifs or buts – no matter how “good” you think you are. God made the rules and your arguments won’t change that. Seek God, He will reveal the truth to you personally if you are earnest in doing so. There is only one way that salvation can come – through faith in Jesus. I pray that you will come to that realisation, and humble yourself, and be saved yourself. Lord have mercy.

Very true, that the Bible was written over many years and by many authors and much was written and applied to the world of the day. But there are constant truths that transcend time and place especially in the words that Jesus spoke. His proclamation “that I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” should be enough of a statement to dispel any further discussion. We must take it on faith “we walk by faith, not by sight” the mark of the faithful. It’s fine to question and to look at other religions, but there is one defining difference, no other spiritual leader Buddha, Mohammed, Hindu gods etc, none of them performed miracles and none of them defeated death and rose from the dead. Furthermore, everything prophesied in the Old Testament has been fulfilled in the New Testament, including the Book of Revelation which is unfolding before our very eyes. At the end of the day, you can either believe or not believe, but your salvation is at risk. Our God is a merciful God and all will have the chance to repent and turn towards His eternal favour. He bore the sins of every single person on this planet, past, present and future on the cross, who are any of us not to be forever grateful and to worship and thank Him every day on this Earth. When we die, we will all stand in judgement before a Holy God, and for believers our Savior, Jesus Christ will advocate for our souls. For those who chose to go it alone, the outcome will be eternal separation from God. Why would you risk it?

I have been raised Catholic and we were taught that God created us because he wants a fellowship with us. He wants a relationship with us but he gave us free will because he doesn’t want a forced relationship, but who would? But he also gave us certain specifications to follow to grow closer to him and to please him. Such as reading the Bible and following the 10 commandments etc. friends in other Christian denominations have said they believe the same.
I think that since you mention you are curious about this a couple times and you may or may not find your answers here, I think you should spend some time maybe talking to God and just tell him how you are feeling, and the doubts and curiosities you are having and ask him to show himself to you and ask him to direct you.

As far as killing innocent people, I don’t know the answer. This three days of darkness is fairly new to me, I have only recently heard it. I do know that the rapture is supposed to happen before Jesus comes back and reading about those are very interesting topics too.

Interesting that the discussion is on the 3 days, because my sister in law, nephew and I were talking about the state of the world and the Church today. On the strength of our discussion my nephew gave me a beeswax candle, which I need to get blessed.
When I look at the present Church, and who is in charge thereof, I’m wondering how much longer God will suffer the distortion of His Law. The more I look into it, the further towards tradition I lean.

DREAMS THAT I HAD THAT WAS SO REAL, I CAN NOT FORGET
A DREAM I HAD APRIL 2 / 2019
I don’t know what time it was, it must have been between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM, All I know I was a sleep.
The dream: I saw a real bright light; it was all white, like I was looking straight into a bright light bulb. Then I heard a great big explosion and everything went black. It was so real, I thought our house breaker box blew up and we lost our electric power. (It really scared me) I open my eyes and it wasn’t so black. I looked at my lamp indicator light and it was on, (working). I knew then I had been dreaming, but it was so real.
I have 3 dreams about 20 years ago, which were so real, but I was able to discerned them. This one I have not as yet been able to discern it. Although I think it has something to do with the warning God is going give to the world.
Jesus Christ will intervene on a Friday. Every person in the whole world will see their sins of their entire lifetime. It is an intervention by Jesus Christ, as is stated in Matthew 24: 22. “If those days had not been shortened, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect they will be shortened.” This intervention is called the Warning or Illumination of Conscience also called a Correction of Conscience and will be like a judgment. This is not the second coming of Christ. It will bring all things on earth to a standstill. For two to three days, all that humanity will be able to think about, is their individual offenses before God. I found this on the website:

Sometime during the night I had another dream and it happen twice in the same night. All I can say is all I saw was a deep black and I mean a deep dark black, and it scared me and I woke up yelling. Again it was so real; I thought we lost our electricity, but when I open my eyes I could see we had not lost our electrical power. In both of the dreams there was no light or sound as I had before, just deep blackness, and so real and each time I yelled out.
Here are my dreams I had about 20 years ago, about 1997:
FIRST DREAM
I was in an older home, standing it the middle of the front room, very happy giving money to a man dressed in black with an outfit that look like Dick Tracy in the comics, only his coat was black. I felt like my family was there with me, and there was a window in the front door allowing some light to come in. After I gave him the money, he left. Not long after he left I look out the window and here he was coming back. I was very happy and started yelling to everybody that he was back. I went to the front door to open it for him and when I had the door half way open and he had stepped half way through the door, I realized it was Satan. I got very scared and slammed the door on him. At that time he got very ugly and mad, but I used all my strength and put my foot against the wall (there was a closet behind me) for more leveraged, he began to get madder, and I got more afraid and I began to think what can I do. Then I remembered that I read in some messages that to get rid of Satan, you could command him to be gone in Jesus name, so I began to say, “in Jesus’ name I command you to be gone”, “in Jesus’ name I command you to be gone”. I kept pushing harder and harder, and saying “in Jesus’ name I command you to be gone, and it did not seem to be working, and I got scared and wondered what I was doing wrong. But I kept persevering, pushing harder and harder and saying “I command you to be gone in Jesus name”, in Jesus name I command you to be gone, and when I thought I might not be able to keep it up, because I was pushing as hard as I could and yelling as loud as I could, “in Jesus’ name I command you to be gone”, the door started to very slowly close, and as Satan was push out of the door, he still had one leg from the knee down in the door, I woke up. My entire body was sweating and trembling as I lay on the bed. I got up found my wife and told her what had happen. Now this was the first of three dreams I had like this, I mean a dream like I never had before. A dream that stays with me in the slightest details, as if I had just dreamed it.
SECOND DREAM
My next dream happen in the same manner. I came home from work tired, lay down on my bed to rest for a little while and went right to sleep. This is what I dreamed:
I saw a picture of Jesus just as He looks on the cover of “I am your Jesus of Mercy” book, accept it was in black and white, as if it was carved out of ice or glass. I felt great peace and love. Then I looked up and I saw a picture of a face that looked very mad, like your father’s face looks when you did something wrong and he is scolding you. I said, “What is that?”, and I heard a very kind and gentle voice say, “That is Jesus”. I said “No, no, this is Jesus; this is Jesus, refereeing to the picture of “I am Your Jesus of Mercy”. The kind and gentle voice said, “That is Jesus of Mercy and that is Jesus of Justice”, and I woke up. I went and told my wife the dream.

Then some days later we were watching a tape showing the inside of the church at the shrine in Washington DC, when they showed an icon of Jesus and under it was written Jesus of Judgment, I said that is the picture I saw in my dream as Jesus of Justice. Above is a copy of an icon picture that looks similar to the Jesus of Justice and a copy of I am Your Jesus of Mercy. The dream has given me much consolation and peace. When I am in doubt, despair, distressed, or restless, I think of this dream and it fills me with peace and love. For, as I said, I can remember it in great detail, and when I think of the dream I can still feel the peace and love.
THIRD DREAM
The next dream I had was after I had been prayed over in tongues and I had asked to able to Pray from the heart. I had got home about 11:00 PM and went to bed.
I dreamed that I was standing in a large room and it was filled with Protestants, and they were praying. I was confused. I didn’t understand what I was doing in a room full of Protestants, when I am Catholic. So I raised my arms up as high as they would raise and began to pray, “My Jesus I Love You”, my Jesus I Love You’. Then all of a sudden a light started penetrating into the palms of my hands and going down my arms, through my body. Then I felt great peace and my body started rising up into the air, till I was above everybody. Then my body starting moving around the room, all the while I kept praying, “My Jesus I Love You”. Then all of a sudden I started saying “the Holy Catholic church is the True church of God, the Holy Catholic church is the True church of God,” I continued saying this until I was in the corner of the room above five women. The women looked like they were scared or worried, and I said to them “do not worry, all Christians go to Heaven.” Then my body floated over to the middle of the room and went perpendicular to the floor, with my face toward the floor and about 18” above the floor. I continued saying, “the Holy Catholic church is the True church of God, the Holy Catholic church is the True church of God.” Then I woke up and got up and sit on the side of the bed, my wife was a sleep so I just sat there for a while.
This below was not a dream, as I was a wake, but came to my mind so fast, but I had time to think about it. I don’t think it was a day dream as it happen so fast. Just popped into my mind.
One night as I lay on my bed I began to think about this big beautiful house and how I was not worthy to knock on the door. Then my guardian angel knocks on the door for me. The blessed Mother, Mary (our Mother) opens the door. She took me in and cleaned me up and dressed me in beautiful clothes. Then she took me to Jesus. She told Jesus all the good things that I had done. Not one bad thing did she say to Jesus, only good things. Jesus, He smiled at Mary and me, and said to me, I will take you to My Father. But first you must be purified. And before I knew what happen, I was purified by the Holy Spirit and sitting on God the Father’s lap filled with great love and peace, beyond what words can describe. And I did not remember any suffering that I had been though.

I was discerning whether to become Catholic or not, still learing about what it meant to be Christian. I don’t jump in without knowing.
After praying for quite a long time, about my wonder if there was a God and if there was, who He was. I was discerning if I should join my husband in the faith, but the whole topic of Mother Mary jolted me. I could not get past it. I continued to pray.
One Saturday, while putting laundry away in my room, I sat on my bed, I fell back and had a dream. A woman appeared. Olive skintone and long black hair, parted in the middle and a fuller face than we usually see Mary. And no head covering.
She had just one sentence before I woke up – “take who it is out of it”. Instantly, I knew what to do, and committed to Catholocism 27 years ago. I had such huge questions about why the priest and people loved Mary so much that it blinded my view of our beautiful and full church!

what would be the point of being alive when most human kind is gone and you are left to bury the 3/4 of the population or there will be disease so now even more people will die. How many doctors or specialists etc. Will survive. There will always be a leader telling you how to live, what laws they want you to follow, and taxes to pay. Think of everything that will be gone including members of your family. We do not know how to live like they did centuries ago, many of us would be clueless.

Good evening. The days of darkness being referred to here are real and will occur sooner rather than later. I can’t be specific as to when “sooner” is, but I expect the event to occur in my lifetime. It’s not God’s purpose to frighten his children with these prophecies. What loving father would do that? Certainly not the all good Father of all.

It need only be 51% beeswax… that is what the Church uses.
Candles that are at least 51% beeswax are still used in some churches particularly the Roman Catholic Church. The wax serves as a symbol of purity and the Virgin Mary because of its origin from the worker honey bee. In addition the volatilized beeswax coated and helped protect the church’s paintings.

I bought six blessed tall votive candles from my church. I’m glad to hear that there can be 51% beeswax as I know they are not 100%. But I would think that the candles being blessed by our priest would be key.
Reading the summary of three days of darkness, and the subsequent comments, I am horrified. Not at the prospect of God’s chastisement, but at people who post exact dates, and all kinds of “magical” fixes. This is heresy. No one knows the time, only the Father, is what Jesus told us. Matthew 24:36. Additionally, Jesus constantly exhorts the apostles (and one would think, us, reading centuries later) to not fear. These posters that are claiming to know the date, telling others that they must do so and so, are really not practicing Christ’s teachings at all. I found most of the posts to be undiluted, personal musings, nothing more. And all that is attributed to the Virgin Mary, who is the Mediatrix, not co-Redemptor, is not explained in terms of source or time. I’d caution anyone coming to this site to be careful. Just pray, receive the sacraments, and come as close as you can to our Lord. Forget all this “magic” woowoo stuff. Blessings in Christ’s name, especially to those most in need.

By the Merciful Grace of God like others who have repented and sought God diligently and received a baptism (purification) in the Holy Spirit I occasionally get premonitions and word of Knowledge.
Last night the Spirit inspired me to Google the current orbits of the planets. You may notice Venus sparkling after the setting sun and Mars not far from the moons orbit. So I found a website with a beautiful clear plan of our Solar system and it allowed you to go back in time or forward to see position of planets on any given date, 3000 yrs past or 3000 yrs into the future. So I just scrolled along watching venus come directly between the earth and Sun on the 4th 5th 6th of June! Which I’ve just checked is a Thursday Friday And Saturday! Now Venus under normal circumstances in not big enough to cause a total eclipse of the earth, But it there was a huge explosion on Venus with a dust cloud we would be in for some very dark cold earthly days and with the moon directly behind the earth in its full moon phase no light will reflect off the moon either.
Now I’m not saying anything concrete only strange that I was inspired to seek out that solar chart, strange that I then ended up on this site and strangely some of the prophetic messages I’ve had lately ___ Rome may well fall! where are my minister of absolution? They have been cocooning even before they were asked to do so. 1) Marie-Julie Jahenny was told the blessed candles MUST be 100% real pure wax with NOTHING ELSE MIXED IN, (aka 100% beeswax) or THEY WILL NOT LIGHT. The Church stipulation of 51% beeswax is not good enough according to her. (Of interest, the Church used to stipulate only 100% beeswax candles were good enough for the service of the altar, even today the Orthodox will only use 100% beeswax candles, but the Western Church ‘watered-down’ the requirement over the years.)
2) St. Pio did not speak of the Three Days of Darkness – he himself told his superior twice that he never wrote that letter, it is a forgery, and also said to a spiritual daughter he never made that prophecy. (But the prophecies by other approved mystics and approved apparitions is real – just not the one attributed to St. Pio.)
3) The quote saying children will be brought to Heaven to spare them from the 3 Days. I have not found that in any of the credible prophecies – so this is questionable, especially as that paragraph contradicts itself and says that ‘no one will escape the terror of those days’.

I bought pure Parafin wax candles which are white. I understand that reason for beeswax back in the day is because they were the ones that burned pure. The others were Tallow which caused a coating over everything. So as long as the candles are pure wax & unscented & blessed I understand they should be fine

I was reading my bible last night and was surprised to see the 3 days of darkness in Book of Wisdom. The entire Chapter 17 in Wisdom describes how the Egyptians suffered during the 3 days of darkness. The beginning of chapter 18 too.

Many of you WILL NOT believe my comment and many of you will know EXACTLY what I am talking about. The ones of you that don’t, should REALLY be praying that The Most High God show you also if He knows I am telling the truth.
I am 52 years old and remember VERY WELL about reading, IN THE bible in the book of revelation, that in the end days, possibly during tribulation, that there would be three days of darkness. It went onto say that during these three days, we were not to go outside or even look outside and that we should cover the windows from the inside of our dwellings that He had provided us with. It said that demons would be going all over the earth taking the souls of the wicked and whoever went outdoors that the demons could even sound like the voices of our passed away loved ones, in order to get us to come outside…and that (and this is exactly what I remember it said) that only a candle made of beeswax, would give light and that nothing else would burn.
Now, this is the unbelievable part…a few years ago…that same bible SUPERNATURALLY changed, while it was in my possession THE ENTIRE TIME! No one borrowed it to take it and change it in anyway. Then, just a few years ago, I was commenting to someone on youtube about the three days of darkness and that person was asking me where what I was talking about, was even at, in the bible. So I went and checked, and to my amazement, any mention of the three days of darkness event, had also completely SUPERNATURALLY disappeared. I’m not loosing my mind and I’m NOT making this up. Many many humans on earth have noticed scriptures in the bible THAT WE MEMORIZED, have in fact supernaturally changed from what they were. Believe it or not…most of my friends and family when I tell them, think I’m crazy and that supernatural things can’t happen and don’t exist…YET, they all go to a building on Wednesdays and Sundays and listen to a guy in the front, tell them of a Man that walked on water, restored vision to a blind man, brought someone back from dead and a sea that parted so that a choose people could cross it. THOSE WERE ALL SUPERNATURAL EVENTS…AND THEY HAPPENED, ON THIS EARTH…THE SAME ONE THAT YOU LIVE ON. Not some other world. Now I know that a few people will likely argue with me on this but it’s pointless, the best thing for you to do is as The Most High y for yourself if you don’t believe me, and only He can give you the eyes to see with and the ears to hear with.
We truly ARE in the last of the end days for things of this type to be going on. Several years back, I heard it told that a guy that used to be a Catholic priest, said that the catholic church KNEW that this would take place and that it teaches people as they become priests, NOT how to explain to people how or why it’s happening…but how to blow them off and make them think that it’s not happening, so no one would believe it. I have no doubt that supernatural type events has been withheld from mankind for so long, that when they are common again in every day life, most people’s mind will not be able to accept it.
Get right with The Most High God and repent because the time is so short that it’s not even funny. I don’t know if the 3 days of darkness are a true future event or not but I do remember for a fact that at one time…IT WAS IN BIBLE SCRIPTURE, AND NOW IT IS NOT! Take it or leave it but it’s the way it is.
Also, it’s pretty safe to say that if the entire world is doing something…ITS PROBABLY “WRONG”! And for the last few years, if you have noticed, there has been a big increase in the number of people using the “OMG” phrase for every little thing in common everyday English. You may have a different opinion but I can’t help but think that it is using God’s be in vain to say the “Oh my God” phrase. So if you’re doing it, it’s likely that you have picked up that habit from others around you or on tv because start noticing and you will see that it is being used VERY VERY often. On the other hand, if you witness a wreck or something devastating, saying that almost seems like a little mini prayer…what do you guys think? Are we being tricked with tv and movies into taking The Most High Gods name in vain in these end days???

There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Only faith in Jesus Christ saves. So don’t have faith in Mary, who is only a womn, in the Catholic church, or any priest or Pope. Who shed His precious blood to pay for the sins of the world? Only Christ, the Son of God, who is both Divine and human, the only perfect Person who could pay for our sins. So faith must be in Him alone to save us from our sins. He is the only mediator between God and man. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. You can find Biblical passages about the days of darkness from the book of Joel, Revelation 6, and Amos. Only those who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved.
The Catholic church cannot save you from your sins. Mary is just a woman like any other woman, who needed the redemption found in the precious blood of Jesus Christ shed for the sins of the world. She was not perfect, as she was born with a sinful nature, not ever virgin, as Jesus had many half-siblings Mary bore to Joseph. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. There is no salvation in any other than Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. As Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3, except a man be born again, he shall not see the kingdom of God. One must be born again of the Holy Spirit in order to enter heaven. In other words, one must confess his sins to God alone, repent of them, believe in Jesus Christ alone to save him, and not his works, and then must be indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God, made a new creation in Christ. “For by grace are ye saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. The science that goes with this prophecy is solid. This is a real thing.
Our star has many types of cycles. The 11 year sunspot cycle is one. Another is a 12,000 year recurring “micronova.” The core of our galaxy emits a wave of power that crosses through our solar system every 12,000 years. The wave of power carries with it a lot of “dust” that it picks up electrostatically, like an ion air filter that you use in your home. This collects on the Sun, causing it to dim for 3 days. The buildup of energy under this blanket of dust causes an explosion of energy, a small nova or “micronova,” that blows off the dust.
The side of the Earth that faces the Sun when this happens will be sterilized (as in burnt away to nothing). It will also cause massive surge currents that will fry everything electronic. Electric wires going through houses will get so hot that they burn down the house. Only mechanical watches will work. Only candles or other fire will work. Nothing electric will work. This sounds over the top crazy, I know, but the evidence is overwhelming. Our best guess for the time is somewhere in the 2030s or 2040s. Changes have already begun, not only in our solar system, but also stars, in a line out from the center of our galaxy, have been experiencing micronovas. Our star is next.
(As an aside, we might lose all power as described above, ahead of schedule, if the Sun has a significant flare or coronal mass ejection before the micronova. This happened early in the 1900s and we refer to it as “The Carrington Event,” if you want to look it up. We are very likely to experience that again, before the micronova.)
