Cardinal Marx Opens the Door to Blessing Homosexual Unions

Today, 3 February, Cardinal Reinhard Marx — the President of the German Bishops’ Conference — suggests a further opening with regard to the idea of establishing a  blessing from the German Catholic Church to be given to homosexual couples. In an interview with the Bavarian radio station Bayerischer Rundfunk BR, Cardinal Marx refers to Pope Francis’ call of accompanying people more closely in their individual lives, and Marx calls for more pastoral care for homosexuals. When asked about the question of a blessing for homosexual couples, Marx thus proposes “that we be pastorally closer to those [such as homosexuals] who are also in need of that pastoral care and who also desire it.” He continues, saying:

There we also have to give encouragement that the priests and pastoral caretakers also give words of encouragement to the people in concrete situations. I really do not see there any problems. Another question is how this would be done publicly, in a liturgical form, that is where one has to be reticent and also reflect upon that in a good way.

When asked whether he could imagine such a blessing for homosexual couples, Cardinal Marx answers: “There are no general solutions; I do not consider it [such a general solution] to be right, because it is about the pastoral care for individuals.” These are cases “where we do not have a rule,” he explains. “And that does not mean that there is nothing happening.”

Cardinal Marx adds:

This I really have to leave up to the local pastor and the accompaniment of that person. One can think about this in a dialogue — and right now, there is taking place such a discussion [raised by the Vice President of the German Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Franz-Josef Bode] — that is to say, about how we could deal with this matter, but I would say I would leave this strongly in the hands of the local pastor, in a very concrete situation, and not to demand rules in this matter. There are things that cannot be regulated.

With these still somewhat vague words (which seem to be a characteristic of Cardinal Marx’ public speech) — and in light of a more decentralized approach — Cardinal Marx opened up to the idea of priests giving, in certain individual cases, a blessing to homosexual couples. These words come in the wake of a recent call for such a blessing as proposed by the Vice-President of the German Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Franz-Josef Bode. He said in January of 2018, when discussing the idea of a blessing of homosexual couples: “We have to reflect upon the question as to how to assess in a differentiated manner a relationship between two homosexual persons.” “Is there not so much positive and good and right so that we have to be more just?”

Moreover, Cardinal Marx had recently claimed that it is hard to determine whether someone is living in the state of mortal sin. He applied this question also to homosexual couples. He also called for “a respect for a decision made in freedom” and for one’s “conscience.”

Mathias von Gersdorff — German pro-life activist and book author — comments today on Cardinal Marx’s proposal of more private individual blessings of homosexual couples with the following words:

That is nothing but a fig leaf. When it is acceptable to bless homosexual couples in individual cases, then that means that (practiced) homosexuality is no obstacle any more.

In the wake of these prominent and high-ranking encouragements with respect to homosexual couples, a German diocese now proposes  even more concrete steps for the establishment of an official liturgical blessing for homosexual couples. With the explicit encouragement of the Bishop of the Diocese of Limburg, Johannes zu Eltz — a high-ranking priest, canon, and Dean of the City of Frankfurt (with a responsibility for around 150,000 souls) — has now made a public proposal to have a “theologically justified blessing” for those couples who are either homosexual, “remarried,” or who for other reasons do not feel “sufficiently worthy” for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Zu Eltz now proposes a “liturgical celebration” that “omits the exchange of rings or the utterance of a marital vow.” Rather, one could, “with respect for a reliable partnership,” ask for God’s blessing “for a successful future of something that already exists.”

May Cardl. Marx receive the trials of Job. May life turn completely against him until he is driven to his knees in repentance, publicly, and he is received in heaven one day with joy by his Maker, along with all those he is (or was) leading to everlasting hell, as the lost sheep who were found.

Just executing their plan in phases. 1st one is in, aka authentic magisterium, phase 2 is now out in the open.
If you accept phase 1, you have no logical reasons to refuse phase 2. After all, who can deny anyone’s need for accompaniment, mercy, pastoral care, etc, etc, after a proven track record of faithfulness, genuine friendship, love, personal sacrifices, etc, etc between 2 people who…..happen to be of the same sex……get with the program, will you?
Now….if you think about it, if you accept phase 2, there is no logical reasons to reject love among 3 (or more) people of same (or different sex). Anything goes, you are welcomed into the Church of Nice, and everyone’s happy……

  2. You have got to be joking Cardinal! Thank God I went to a preparatory seminary for high school in the late 1950’s. At least then, absolute truth was taught. Theological Truth is not subjective, it is absolute and unchangeable. What happened to Absolute Thomistic Theology? What happened to the teachings of the Fathers of the Church? Please don’t ask as in the psalms; Ubi est Deus? He is right there with you, listening and watching. He will not be mocked forever.

  3. This has always been the main goal of Francis and his acolytes; the blessing of sodomy. You got a problem with that, you “rigid”, “doctor of the law”? We caught a glimpse of this in the fake, pre-fabricated interim relatio of the 2014 Extraordinary Synod on the Family.

This is why our own James Martin SJ, is so emboldened. He knows, through the lavender mafia, what’s going down in Rome and elsewhere. This is orchestrated and coordinated. He has friends like Marx in high places and feels secure.

I’m starting to think that the Islamic influx into Germany might not be such a bad idea after all. The corruption has reached apocalyptic proportions and it may be the means used by God to clean out the filth which is submerging the Church.

    • The Muslims are queer too, of course. Islam is the most homosexual of the major cultures on Earth, though it is technically against the Koranic teaching. It’s more of the Ancient Greek style, in which it consists of grown men imposing themselves on teenage boys. That was its basic paradigm from the beginning, as it was in Ancient Greece. The Greek city states fought each other constantly, every year, basically, but they had no standing armies (such as Rome was to develop so famously). [N.B. Sparta: the whole body of citizenry were the army, as it were; so even there, it wasn’t a professional service such as Rome developed.] ]So an older warrior had to take a teenager on as a sort of page, to teach him the ropes. And over time it developed into quasi-homosexual relationships, and finally full-scale sodomy.

But one thing to remember: the “passive partner” in such unions was excoriated by everyone. He was “playing the female” and viciously mocked. Even today. to call someone (it’s the same word as in Classic Greek, IIRC) a “bottom” is to issue a deadly insult.

      • Pederasty in Islam is the logic consequence of polygamy. A man who owns 4 spouses (or more…) prevents 3 other men having even one. Then these last ones fulfill their sexual needs with men since no woman is available.

        • Interesting, but from what I understand via reading a bit (some) in modern research is that no heterosexual male is going to “go gay” because of a lack of females. Same with heterosexual priests: they’re not “going gay” because the ladies are absent. One has to have the homosexual (demonic) oppression to find anyone of the same sex attractive in a sexual manner.

However, if it is true that all male homosexuals have some sort of dysfunctional relationship with their fathers, then a culture that had one father and many wives would naturally produce a distant, otherwise occupied dad. Sons would grow up in the harem and only when they were old enough to learn to fight be introduced to their father. By that time their personality was long since “set” (they say by the age of six or so). Alexander the Great is a classic (pun intended) example: he couldn’t stand his father Philip and only got to know him when he, Alexander, was old enough to do guy things like ride a horse and so on. On top of that, Philip preferred men anyway, and his (one-time) wife, Olympia, was the all-time example of domineering mother.

The author of whatever you are reading needs to spend a little time in a corrections environment, where “gay for the stay” is well known term. Also the old saw about the British Navy running on “rum and sodomy” is instructive about the matter.

        • Another great advantage of the Islamic family structure is that it is wonderful for war. If 75% of the able bodied men are killed or horribly disabled, the population is restored within one generation. Rather different to the situation after 1918 when many European women remained single or widowed.

The ultimate humiliation has to be poor old Cardinal Law, late of Boston, who was down on his face praying to Allah in a local mosque in November 2002. This was shortly before his departure to Rome and a year after his leading the mourning in the wake of 9/11. Talk about the punishment fitting the crime. Law had just presided over a series of horrible paedo crimes and now he was visibly grovelling before a religion whose Prophet married a nine year old.

Being something of a Classics scholar (as well as a Daltaí na Gaeilge, ar ndóiche), I know enough about homosexuality to know that the Ancient Greeks themselves loathed it, even as it besotted them. Their legend of the first homosexual, a king of Thebes (IIRC), pictured him was a murderer, also. And of course the Homosexual Collective has the Emperor Nero as a patron saint!

My question, again remains; do the cardinals have any “line in the sand” by which they will call a Council to decide for once and for all: ….a few things…in order to save souls and defend the faith? Or are they so into themselves and their self importance?

At some point he will be anathematized posthumously, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon, unless we get a truly faithful prelate with a backbone as his successor… I’m certain Cardinal Sarah wouldn’t do it though (he does seem to be a favorite proponent for many of the faithful but he just seems weak.) Even if Burke somehow got elected, I don’t think he would condemn him wholly. He’d condemn AL I think, but not the Francis papacy.

Albrecht was already the Archbishop of Magdeburg, but he wanted to hold two archbishoprics at the same time. Selling of bishoprics and the position of abbot, etc., was common enough on the Continent, but no one had ever been so bold or crazy as to want to hold TWO ARCHBISHOPRICS!
The cost of the deal was so high, however, that Leo gave Albrecht permission to sell indulgences, and that got the ire up of a certain Augustinian professor, who began to protest all this venality in late 1517.

Again its the repudiation of intrinsic evil argued philosophically by Prof Gerhard Hover, and as an ethical premise by the Pontiff in AL. “Concrete circumstances” change the moral character of the evil act, homosexuality if stability and good are perceived. Consequently it is Man that determines good or evil. God simply approves. Satan’s ultimate insult to Christ. This can’t continue while the majority of Bishops remain either silent or in approval. What was the goal of the homosexual network of dissent , that is to elect a Pope who would “officially” change the teaching prohibiting homosexual acts, and with it as part of the ‘package’ re-marriage and contraception; this goal is being accomplished step by step right before our very eyes .

I asked my parish priest if the bishop- nominee has to take an oath of allegiance to Freemasonry prior to his consecration . He replied, “I am ‘not aware of’ but I can feel the presence and force of evil all around.” After reading and researching Pre-and post Vatican II issues, I can certainly say that it is time to suck out the pervading ‘smokes of satan’ and fumigate the church of freemason influence so much evident within the church hierarchy.

There are others with good judgment and credentials that agree with this interpretation. That is why my leaning is toward calling it a Satanic final Putsch against the Church. Never has the identity of the person of Christ been so formidably attacked in a way that far surpasses the Arian heresy that was theological in essence, certainly important but not understood by the vast majority so it didn’t impact practice of the faith. The attempt to normalize homosexuality and bless abominable sexual acts is only part of the overall agenda perpetrated by the highest ecclesiastic authorities to change virtually all crimes against Christ and goodness. It completely reverses morality and sweeps away the Apostolic Tradition. It must be opposed to the point of shedding blood as did the martyrs who offered their lives in witness to Christ.

Josef Seifert is German-Austrian. Bishop Athanasius Schneider was born into a black sea German family (after World War II his parents were forcebly removed from Berlin to the the Ural Mountains), after 1973 he remigrated to West-Germany. According to Wikipedia, Athanasius Schneider, while being auxilliar Bishop in Kazakhstan, has German nationality.

Besides that, Christian Identity in Germany has for a very long time either been guelphic or ghibellinic (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guelphs_and_Ghibellines), pro-Roman or anti-Roman. Before Protestantism, even before the Investiture Controversy between the Holy Roman Emperor and the Pope. It goes back to the forced Christianisation of the Saxon tribe by the Frankish tribe and the inheritance of the Frankish and Holy Roman Crown/Throne rather shortly after by the Saxon Ottonians. In Germany, the homeland of Protestantism, Reformation/Protestantism is seen as an expression of national identity, a Germanization and Perferction of Christianity (just like Shia or Shiite Islam is, in a way, a Persianization of Islam), not as just another denomination in contrast to Catholicism.

You are in serious error and you do not understand the meaning of the Catholic Church, you are equating Her, who is in Heaven, on Earth and in Purgatory, with some of her corrupt ‘members’, who shall rot in Hell for eternity lest they sincerely repent, on Earth.
This is like condemning Jesus because Judas was an apostle.

I hope to remain faithful to my abandoned marriage and to how I understand of what I was taught about Catholicism. But, I cannot and will not support the Church as it is being run. If Bergoglio is not evicted, because he will never repent except with his fingers crossed, the Catholic Church should dissolve.

    • Dear Karl,
      You couldn’t be more wrong!

      The Mystical Body of Christ
      is THE Church.

All Holy Souls in a state of grace or being purified comprise The Church Militant, Triumphant and Suffering.

Which the gates of Hell shall not prevail against.

So many Catholics of these past few decades seem to confuse the institutional structure of the Roman Catholic Church as if this is the totality of Christ’s body.

This human institution initiated by Christ has been, with God’s permissive will, to become infested with devilish men (like Judas) who are on a fools errand.

Namely, The destruction of Christ’s Church.

All here detest what the institutional church has become, the rot within and the partisans of error.

Please never give into the diabolical temptation to abandon Christ and His Church.

God is apparently willing or permitting this brutalization of the Catholic institution for His reasons.

IMHO we are at a crossroad in human history. Just as the Apostles didnt want to accept that Jesus had to go to His death.

So many Catholics of our era cannot envision that the brutalization, infestation and destruction of the institution is what Christ Jesus suffered. Not His will but the Father’s.

Live the Faith and die in the Faith.
      But mostly Live the Faith.

Ok my soap box is getting covered in snow.

Pray for me to persevere as I pray for you n all here.

Now, it’s just “accompanying” for the sake of “accompanying” with no expectation at all. Hey, what if my favorite sin is not sodomy but mugging fat Germans? Will you “accompany” me?

    A. Out of Gen. xix. 13. where we read of the Sodomites, and their sin. “We will destroy

    • Which is literally true. Biblical Archeology Review did an article on the discovery of Sodom, and how it was destroyed. You have to read the footnotes, as they stashed the actual temperature that glassified particles of dirt out of the article itself. It was absolutely not a normal type of fire.

They speculate that a meteorite may have exploded above the city. Quite possible. The book of Revelation describes something that could be similar – a burning mountain falling into the sea.

      Reply
      • It says “fire … from heaven’ So heavenly fire must be different from earthly fire or it would have just said ‘they were burnt with fire’ maybe.

        Reply
        • Yes. It could have been miraculous fire from heaven, or an exploding meterorite from the sky. Hebrew uses the same word for heaven and for sky, so it could be translated as either fire from heaven, or fire from the sky.

The archeologists said that it was definitely not a normal earthly fire. They had excavated many ancient cities that had been burned in the usual manner, so they were well aware of the differences. The fire that destroyed Sodom was not a normal city fire.

The gates of Sodom, where Lot used to sit, were different than normal gates also. There was a mini-maze in front of them, so that invaders could not directly attack the gates.

The Buiblical Archeology Review article is very interesting.

          • Often wondered about that, particularly the fire in Purgatory and Hell. Like the burning bush which was not consumed? But it appears Sodom and gomorrah were reduced to nothingl well we can’t know everything. What we do know is enough to make us try to avoid it all.

        • I don’t, but go on the Biblical Archeology Review website and look. It was a few years ago, I’m pretty sure it was five more or less.

It also had a long discussion on the value of using the Bible to locate archeological sites. It was used to find the site of Sodom, and some people were throwing fits about it.

There were a number of photos of the dig. I mostly remember the one of the excavated city gates.

  15. ‘The Sodomite Will Suffer the Torments of Eternal Condemnation’

“Indeed, this scourge destroys the foundations of the faith, weakens the forces of hope, dissolves the bonds of charity, annihilates all justice, undermines fortitude, eliminates hope, and dulls the edge of prudence.

“And what else shall I say? For it [the sin of sodomy] expels all the forces of virtue from the temple of the human heart, and, as if pulling the door from its hinges, allows the entrance of every barbarity of vice ….

“In effect, the one whom …. this most atrocious beast has swallowed down its bloody throat is prevented, by the weight of its chains, from practicing any good work, and is precipitated into the abysses of his uttermost iniquity.

“Thus, as soon as someone has fallen into this abyss of extreme perdition, he is exiled from the heavenly motherland, separated from the Body of Christ, censured by the authority of the whole Church, condemned by the judgment of all the Holy Fathers, despised by men on earth and rebuked by the society of heavenly citizens. He creates for himself an earth of iron and a sky of bronze.

“On the one hand, laden with the weight of his crime, he is unable to rise; on the other hand, he is no longer able to conceal his evil in the refuge of ignorance. He cannot be happy while he lives nor have hope when he dies, because here and now he is obliged to suffer the ignominy of men’s derision and, later, the torment of eternal condemnation.”

  16. I will continue to pray for all of them, as we all should, but I have abandoned any expectation of seeing any heroic confrontation by the bishops and cardinals in opposition to this ever growing heresy hurricane. We need real men who stand boldly for the faith, calling heresy by name–publicly–so that all may know that sin is sin, and virtue is virtue. Black. White. What good are measured words, and polite, hat-in-hand, never-answered, requests for clarification when the sight of the Holy Faith being trampled under the feet of fallen-away clerics is clarification enough for the even most myopic among us? Where are the courageous ones? Where are those who should, long before now, have been moved to righteous anger, and righteous action. Even Jesus used a whip of chords when He saw desecration being done by the money changers; how do you churchmen think the sin of the money changers compares to the sin being conducted, high and low, in Christ’s Church right now?
Somebody please give me a nudge if you happen to see a real counter attack on the Modernist Heresy within the Church being implemented, ok? Until then it’s all just talk!

          • Yes. It must be 12 or 14 years back now, there was an “Ecumenical Church Day” held, in Berlin I think it was, and a heretic Catholic priest celebrated a Protestant eucharist in which , instead of the words of consecration, he said something like “we are all the Body of Christ” and invited all and sundry, both Catholic and Protestant to partake of the worthless piece of bread.
+Marx as Bishop of Trier suspended the heretic without undue delay. (The priest must have been from the diocese.)
Unfortunately this must have been the reason why Benedict though he was one of the good guys and appointed him to Munich and Freising.

After all, the Archdiocese of Cologne by itself is richer than the Vatican [https://goo.gl/ToHaPF]. 28. The Archdiocese of Munich is one of the largest and richest dioceses of the world. Whereas there used to be ordination classes of over 30 in the ‘bad old days’ before Vatican II, there were 5-10 priestly ordinations most years until quite recently. However, last year it was reported that only one man entered the diocesan seminary (another man from the archdiocese wen to the FSSP).

If this trend continues, Marx will be rather alone – or not so much alone since he still has a lot of church-tax paid bureaucrats around him. Recently a new central administrative building for the archdiocese was completed – according to the media, with a price-tag of 130 Million Euros. The same reports mention that the chancery has over 800 employees – this is probably more than the number of priests ordained since Vatican II.

(To be fair to Dr Marx – the church tax is linked directly to the national income tax, and so the money he can get from gay couples is much higher than that from families with many children.)

The churches in Munich are magnificent. You can see what the Church used to be like. In 2011 I went to Mass at a cathedral-sized church in the University area. A handful of worshippers were scattered around its expanse. The cathedral at Freising (it is the diocese of Munich-Freising) is eye popping. The huge diocesan museum beside that cathedral is crammed with enthralling exhibits. It has the medals of all the Popes from St Peter to the present day, plus types of religious artifacts which I did not know existed. Some of the monstrances are so big and elaborate that they deserve an individual guide book. The museum building has an old shell, but a stunning modern interior over four stories. The refurbishment alone must have cost a king’s ransom. I was one of only three or four visitors touring this structure and most of the time I was alone with the treasures. What you can do when you have too much money.

  29. Our Lady of Good Success: Prophecies for Our Times:
Prophetic revelations made to Venerable Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres
    . . .
“Our Lady prophesied that at the end of the 19th Century and especially in the 20th Century that Satan would reign almost completely by the means of the Masonic sect. The Queen of Heaven told Mother Mariana that this battle would reach its most acute stage because of various unfaithful religious, who, “under the appearance of virtue and bad–spirited zeal, would turn upon Religion, who nourished them at her breast.” “During this time,” she continued, “insomuch as this poor country will lack the Christian spirit, the Sacrament of Extreme Unction will be little esteemed. Many people will die without receiving it – either because of the negligence of their families or their false sentimentality that tries to protect the sick from seeing the gravity of their situations, or because they will rebel against the spirit of the Catholic Church, impelled by the malice of the devil. Thus many souls will be deprived of innumerable graces, consolations and the strength they need to make that great leap from time to eternity…” “As for the Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with His Church, it will be attacked and profaned in the fullest sense of the word. Masonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the objective of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin, encouraging the procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church. The Christian spirit will rapidly decay, extinguishing the precious light of Faith until it reaches the point that there will be an almost total and general corruption of customs. The effects of secular education will increase, which will be one reason for the lack of priestly and religious vocations…”
“The Sacred Sacrament of Holy Orders will be ridiculed, oppressed and despised. …The demon will try to persecute the Ministers of the Lord in every possible way and he will labor with cruel and subtle astuteness to deviate them from the spirit of their vocation, corrupting many of them. These corrupted priests, who will scandalize the Christian people, will incite the hatred of the bad Christians and the enemies of the Roman, Catholic and Apostolic Church to fall upon all priests. This apparent triumph of Satan will bring enormous sufferings to the good Pastors of the Church….”
“Moreover, in these unhappy times, there will be unbridled luxurywhich, acting thus to snare the rest into sin, will conquer innumerable frivolous souls who will be lost. Innocence will almost no longer be found in children, nor modesty in women. In this supreme moment of need of the Church, those who should speak will fall silent.”
“But know, beloved daughter, that when your name is made known in the 20th century, there will be many who will not believe, claiming that this devotion is not pleasing to God…A simple humble faith in the truth of My apparitions to you, My predilect child, will be reserved for humble and fervent souls docile to the inspirations of grace, for Our Heavenly Father communicates His secrets to the simple of heart, and not to those whose hearts are inflated with pride, pretending to know what they do not, or self-satisfied with empty knowledge.”
During this time, Our Lady foretold, “The secular Clergy will leave much to be desired because priests will become careless in their sacred duties. Lacking the divine compass, they will stray from the road traced by God for the priestly ministry, and they will become attached to wealth and riches, which they will unduly strive to obtain. How the Church will suffer during this dark night!

Lacking a Prelate and Father to guide them with paternal love, gentleness, strength, wisdom and prudence, many priests will lose their spirit, placing their souls in great danger. This will mark the arrival of My hour.”

“Therefore, clamor insistently without tiring and weep with bitter tears in the privacy of your heart, imploring our Celestial Father that, for love of the Eucharistic Heart of my Most Holy Son and His Precious Blood shed with such generosity and the profound bitterness and sufferings of His cruel Passion and Death, He might take pity on His ministers and bring to an end those Ominous times, sending to this Church the Prelate who will restore the spirit of its priests.”
    . . .
(This article is based on excerpts taken from the 18th Century manuscript entitled The Admirable Life of Mother Mariana of Jesus Torres, written by Prior Manuel de Souza Pereira, Franciscan Provincial in Quito, Ecuador and director of the Convent Mother Mariana founded. This manuscript was written a century after her death. Mother Mariana is linked mysteriously to our times by the visions Our Lady showed her of the 20th Century over 350 years ago. This apparition has been approved by the Church and Mother Mariana has been declared Venerable in the first step towards her canonization…)

Cardinals and Bishops, like Kasper, Reinhard Marx, Fraz-Joseph Bode, Johannes Zu Eltz; those in Malta, Buenos Aires and Chicago; Paglia, Chiodi, and Fr. On the BBC Radio 4 religious affairs programme “Sunday” on 4th February 2018, there was an extended interview between a BBC reporter and an American evangelical minister who had prayed with Donald Trump. The BBC reporter was understandably giving the minister a hard time on the subject of homosexuality, pointing out that many “Christians” disagreed with his opposition to sodomy. The minister gave a humane and considered explanation of his attitude to same sex couples and how he was prepared to embrace them wholeheartedly without embracing their sin. His attitude was very close to a properly Catholic pastoral approach. But the fact that Scripture very visibly condemns this sin cut no ice with the interviewer; he continued to press the public fragmentation of “Christian” witness.

And any Catholic who tries to push traditional morality within the Church will find himself up against the “who am I to judge” crew. Pope Francis gave this ludicrous excuse after rewarding Monsignor Ricca for rampant sodomy, including sex with an underage prostitute, by elevating him to his household. The former world wide Master of the Dominicans, Timothy Radcliffe, has told us how wonderful and tender gay sex can be….and he was appointed to a Vatican post. Archbishop Paglia, late of Terni, commissioned a gay/paedophile themed mural for his cathedral; he then was moved to a Vatican post dealing with families.

  36. What is a “theological blessing” in comparison to the marital sacrament? Applying this blessing to a “couple” in the context of a romantic “relationship” sounds an awful lot like homosexual matrimony. Jesus has made clear the teaching on the topic. It is an abomination and sin. We are all sinners, we all deserve death, the Church is to provide guidance on avoiding sin and finding salvation. Marx proposes blessing it… in the Church established by Jesus, himself. What have we come to? Show me the “circumstantial” example where this would be acceptable to God.

  37. I have heard rumors that the worst is yet to come, it seems march/april will bring something really big, but I don’t know exactly what (no need so much imagination any more)… Wait and see (and pray).

  39. Breitbart just picked up on the story…as well as the Bergoglio/Barros debacle.
    It ain’t pretty.
“Just who is causing all the scandal in the Church?” one might ask the James Martins and Maximo Faggioli’s — and a Bergoglio, Sosa, Marx and Spadaro to boot.
    Just who?
