Fast shipping, excellent quality DVDs (no damage to the boxes or DVDs, all still in shrink wrap). Seller went out of their way to make sure that I was aware that these were region 2 DVDs and how to play them -- really great seller, would recommend.

Buyers should note that these are Region 2 DVDs, meaning they won't play in US (region 1) dvd players. But, as long as you have a region-free DVD player, that's just fine!

This is a great collection but be advised, you need a DVD player that can play this region, which I found at a shop nearby

This is a good make you think & mess with your mind series. My only complaint is that there are only 3-4 episodes per season.

Charlie Brooker, former star humor/media/social critic for the UK Guardian (think a cross between Hunter Thompson and Billy Connolly), has fashioned an in-your-face picture of how present tech and social trends may be extrapolated into a full-blown 'Blade Runner' sort of future. Brooker, as was his wont in print, goes a bit too far for 'normal-types' presently fitting so comfortably in their pods and cocoons. The series, as it were, does seem to improve with each of the 6 season 1&2 performances. The director's successfully capture the tenor of our increasingly fearful future. The actors are believable. Some of this is entertaining, some clairvoyant, some utter rubbish. I'll take the past way before I choose such a depicted future.

Start with Season 3 and go back to 1 and 2.
Mirror really hits its stride in Season 3.
Life imitates art imitates life.

Wonderful! This is to our decade what the Twilight Zone was to the 1950s/60s.

PLEASE NOTE: This set only plays on multi region or Region 2 DVD Players. Region 2 is basically Europe.
Black Mirror is an anthology series that could be described as a more dark and modernized version of
the old Outer Limits TV series. Some of the episodes can be downright creepy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fasinating look into the dark future of technology
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 17, 2017
This is a fascinating series which explores the dark future of society obsessed with social media and “life enhancing” technology, in a slightly surreal alternative universe. This box set is short (only 7 shows) so I’ll review each individually.

The National Anthem - The box set starts with the weakest episode and had me wondering if this was just going to be a series trying too hard to be controversial, but with no witty ideas or plausibility. At best I’d say this one was too ridiculous to be taken seriously.

15 Million Merits - it gets better from here on with this great episode set in a dystopian future. People are nothing but a menial workers forced to work and watch endlessly repeated programs (unless they pay not too!) Unless of course you can save enough to go on the talent show and break free as the next big superstar. Obviously an X-Factor/BGT influenced episode, but it manages to pull it off.

The Entire History of You - the best episode of the first season. This works because you really could imagine in the future an implant being created that lets you play back your memories. Inevitably, like the main characters, a paranoid existence or a sad life spent reliving old memories may become your fate.

Be Right Back - an okay episode. Sort of reminded me of the movie AI in a way. If you're thinking about bringing someone back as artificial life be careful what you wish for.

White Bear - another brilliantly done episode, can't really say why without spoiling it!

The Waldo Moment - a fascinating episode. Many people didn't seem to like this one on release. Maybe it's a better episode if you're watching it now in the post-Trump election era. It perfectly warns of the power of demagoguery over facts in political elections. Be careful what you vote for!

White Christmas - again well done although gets a bit predictable towards the end. It's kind of like The Entire History of You with the show being about implant technology, but here there is three story lines running concurrently.

Overall this boxset is a fantastic introduction to the Black Mirror world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Le retour du futur
Reviewed in France on August 3, 2017

5.0 out of 5 stars Geniale Ausblicke auf den Irrsinn, den wir gerade erschaffen
Reviewed in Germany on August 11, 2017
