In answer to the question (which I am delighted that Fr Schmitz addressed), another question - why would the same people who appear to have a cell phone grafted to the side of their heads jabbering away ad infinitum wherever and whenever they are still awake pose a question to suggest speaking with God in a similar manner would ever reach a satiation level?

Father what about having contrition for offending God, and a firm purpose of ammerndment not to offend Him again? It's not about how WE feel but "seeing" ourselves as God sees us. The sad reality is that only a small percentage of the congregation go to confession, but mostly everyone receives. (i've observed in the traditional parishes as well) Are these people saints? Priests need to address this issue in the pulpit.
