"At the beginning of the day, I endeavour to unite myself closely with Jesus Christ, and then I do the next thing, with the thought of that union in mind," confessed the Curé d'Ars to the Abbé Dufour. "From which I infer," adds the Abbé, "that his life was one long prayer." - Interior Life of the Curé d'Ars

O Most Holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore You, I love You, and with a lively sorrow for my sins, I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure, and wholly obedient to Your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in You and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, Your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.

Merciful Jesus, I consecrate myself today and always to Your Most Sacred Heart.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I implore, that I may love you more and more.
Most Sacred Heart, of Jesus, I trust in You!
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Your love for me.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like Your Heart.
"In this life there is no purgatory; it is either hell or paradise; for to him who serves God truly, every trouble and infirmity turns into consolations, and through all kinds of trouble he has a paradise within himself even in this world: and he who does not serve God truly, and gives himself up to sensuality, has one hell in this world, and another in the next." - St. Philip Neri
Oh, so beauitiful!
"for to him who serves God truly, every trouble and infirmity turns into consolations," Tell that to St. Bartholomew who was skinned alive. Mexican drug cartels still do it when they uncover an informant or undercover police officer. They post videos as a warning to others. It's an ugly, ugly way to go and the victim lives through the entire flaying when it's done properly. There's no consolation in it and it's as close to the torments of Hell as any living person is likely to experience, aside from those who still get burned alive by Muslims.
St. Philip Neri, by contrast, died a quck, natural death in bed.
“The generation of the Flood was not wiped out until they wrote gemumasi’ot [marriage documents or contracts] for the union of a man to a male or to an animal.” - Rabbi Huna (Rabbi Yosef), Genesis Rabbah 26:5 (Genesis 6:2), see also Leviticus Rabbah 23:9 (Leviticus 18:2-4)
When sin is no longer recognized as sin by a society, the rabbis would assert, that society loses its right to existence – like the generation of the Flood, or the defeated Egyptians and Canaanites, such a society deserves to be swept away.
Rabbi Hiyyah taught: (The passage from Leviticus 18 reads) “I am the Lord, your God” two times (verses 2 and 4) – I am the One Who punished the generation of the Flood, and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, and Egypt; and in the future I will punish those who do as they did."
“The generation of the Flood was not blotted out from the world until they composed nuptial songs (until they wrote marriage deeds for males and beasts i.e. they fully legalized such practices) in honor of …More
"And as it came to pass in the days of Noe [Noah], so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat and drink, they married wives, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noe [Noah] entered into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it came to pass, in the days of Lot: they did eat and drink, they bought and sold, they planted and built. And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed. In that hour, he that shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and he that shall be in the field, in like manner, let him not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose it, shall preserve it." - St. Luke 17:26-33 (DRA)

“The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or, above all, spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world, or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary, we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.” - Regarding the Holy Rosary, Sister Lucy to Father Agustín Fuentes Anguiano: 26 December 1957
This current crisis we are going thru will ultimately result in the long awaited triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Let us rejoice.
The Most Holy Rosary Promises as Given to Saint Dominic:
1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive signal graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
4. The Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire for eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he …More
And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented him. But Jesus turning to them said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck!’ - St. Luke 23:27-29
It is only because the fires of Truth held by the Church are blinding evil eyes and convicting them of sin and judgment, that the world vainly tries to extinguish them. And though the world is tearing up all the photographs & blue-prints of a good society, and a good family life based on the moral law of God, be not disheartened. The Church has kept the negatives. And when the moment comes when the world wants a reprint, we will have them. - Edited quote from Ven. Abp. Fulton J. Sheen
Saying Grace, a Norman Rockwell painting, appeared on the cover of The Saturday Evening Post published November 24, 1951
When I was in Rome, Norman Rockwell's son Peter sometimes came to Sunday dinner. He was a sculptor living in Rome.
...when artwork like this was still perfectly acceptable on the cover of a national publication. "Those were the days."
