I read that Benedict XVI actually was in fairly good health until last year despite his age, so he was in better shape than Francis. But I did read that Benedict XVI did actually give up and resign because he had developed severe insomnia which is VERY debilitating. He probably was overwhelmed by all the rot and corruption in the Vatican caused by all the radical dissident homos in the Vatican and other undesirable people that had infested the place due to JPII's lack of governance. Of course, now, there's 10x more of them thanks to Pope Bergoglio.

@John Fritz Logan and @Clement Jaeho Chung -I'm sure you both know, that the Vatican is expert at hiding papal illnesses. There are only 2 POpes who insisted that the Vatican be honest about their infirmities/illnesses. One was the great Pope Pius XII, who ordered his doctors (and at that time, his physicians were not very good at all), to be honest about his condition, which was a gastro-intestinal and esophageal.problem that is common in very nervous/hyper people who are very intense workaholics. Pius was a "take charge of everything, worry about everything" person, and when he got elderly, it affected his digestiive system. The Vaticn did not cover it up, even when he finally had two strokes in 1958, 1 mild one, and a day later, a massive one. Had he not had the second stroke, he might have indeed lived another 5-6 years. How much better the Church would have been had he indeed lived in relatively good health till 1965!
The other Pope who ordered that the Vatican not cover up/lie about his illnesses was of course, JPII.
The Vatican lied about John XXIII and his stomach cancer for the entire 9 months he was sick. Unfortunatly that illness ran in his family, 2 sisters also died of the same thing. But the Vatican kept saying that he was "mildly indisposed", for months, until the very end when the stomach tumor ruptured and the poor man suffered for nearly 3 weeks before dying in June, 1963. He was not a good Pope, but I would not wish that on anyone. He was making speeches and appearances all the way up until the end of May, 1963 and he died about 2 weeks later. But they lied about everything with him. John XXIII reportedly even as he was dying, ordered the Cardinals to close down/cancel the rest of Vatican II, but of course that was disregarded/ignored.
But the Vatican is 100% lying about Francis. I think we will find that out over the next few months, and at the very end.

@John Fritz Logan -Yes, I noticed that apparently Francis is back at work...but...I also read that he continues to be "extremely tired". Maybe becasue I have too many family members (3) in the medical field that I read too much into Francis' little episodes, but logiclly speaking, a fever doesn't just pop up for no reason....there has to be an underlying reason..which I think the Vatican is hiding.
One of my younger brothers works out in the gym 5x a week (I used to, before I started teaching ) and he never develops a fever. My sisters play golf and tennis, and never develope fevers. It doesn't come from being tired....there's a reason behind it. And with regards to Francis, it's not good. Otherwise, the VAtican would not have been so panicked as I read they were yesterday.

@Clement Jaeho Chung -Thank you Clement. I agree with you. I can't in good conscience, considering the evil Francis has done to the Church, pray for his "recovery". I don't think fevers pop up for no reason. I think Francis has something very bad, that the Vatican is hiding, and has hidden for 18 months.
My uncle is a doctor (Cardiologist), and he said, spealing of Bergoglio, that some forms of cancer are very fast and lethal.....others, slow (but still ultimately fatal).
Do I think Francis will be alive this time next year? Probably not...but maybe.
I'd like to see God, in his mercy, take Francis to himself one day soon, hen we least expect it. We'll turn on our televisions, or internet one day, and find out that Francis has suddenly died in his sleep, etc.
Close to 500,000 came out in 3 days at the Vatican to mourn Benedict XVI in January. I think it will be VERY embarrassing to the Vatican that very few come out to view Francis' body or mourn him.

@Just me -You're correct in most of this post. But this time, I don't know why, but I think Pope Francis is on his way out. It might not be as obvious as the way JPII suffered, but I do think that he is going down. John XXIII died of stomach cancer, but until maybe a month before he died, people thought that he was basically fine. He still made appearances up until three weeks before he died. Then, when it became extremely bad, the Vatican finally had to admit it.
Alot of people here, and on other sites, think Bergoglio has cancer. I asked my uncle, who is a Cardiologist, He's 51, and has taken care of many patients, even heart patients who also have cancer. Last time Bergoglio was in the hospital, I texted him, even though he and my aunt and cousins live in L.A.
He said that some cancers are very fast, others, like what Bergoglio probably has, is relatively slow (meaning a person isn't dead in 2 months like in some cancers). But he said when it starts advancing, infections (including respiratory infections that resemble bronchitis and/or pneumonia), and also sudden unexplained fevers are very common, and a sign of metastasis (spreading of the cancer).
I never like to wish someone dead, but it would be a great blessing if God took Pope Francis. His conversion is probably too late, and impossible, because today he just appointed to Buenos Aires one of the worst dissident, pro-homo radicals in the entire Argentine church. So, while people might pray for his conversion, I think its a nice thing to do, but too late. I think Pope Francis will be gone quite soon.......not soon enough for many!

I agree with everything you said about Bergoglio. We need to be rid of him. I'm not going to speculate on what his latest illness is, because last time I gleefully posted that it was something bad, and he was out of the hospital in 2 days and back to being the heretic he is, making pro-homo appointments and promotions, like he did just today in Argentina. A total disgrace and betray of the Catholic Church.
Whenever Bergoglio is reported as being sick, all the websites are on fire with gossiping and speculation about what he's got. Pro and anti Francis contributors will be on line all day.
I think I agree with @John Fritz Logan about the underlying cause of Bergoglio's illness. My uncle is a Cardiologist, but he knows about cancer and it's side effects, and ssaid the last time Bergoglio was sick, that fevers are common, and it indicates a process of metastisis. I don't know if that's what Bergoglio has, but it isn't good whatever it is.
I hope it's not sinful of me to say that I pray every day for a new Pope very soon, a Catholic who will cancel out all of Pope Francis agenda. I also believe what John said about Bergoglio being gone in afew months at most.

@John Fritz Logan -Yes, I'm doing well, thank you! We're on "Spring Break" at the public HS I teach at till Tuesday May 30th. Nice break, but alittle late in the year since we're done for the Summer on June 17th  ! I finish out my 3rd year teaching. I love it, which is great, because many people hate their jobs. I got my M.A. this month too, which is a chore behind me now. Hope you are doing well too.
About Bergoglio being sick again..... He's back in his chair again too. I don't want to speculate here, and be proven wrong, but maybe it's not something small this time. Some underlying reason??
