Irish Female Preacher at Eucharist: "I’d Love to See Women Priests" Worse than Germany: On 13 August, Irish TV broadcaster Mary Kennedy delivered the homily during the 'National Novena' at Knock Basilica, Ireland. Kennedy is divorced, has had subsequent relationships and said she “shouldn’t really be receiving Holy Communion” but is an “à la carte Catholic”. She added, “that’s the kind of Catholic that suits me.” Furthermore, Kennedy said that she loves “the sound of the Muslim call to prayer”. Later in the address, Kennedy criticised what she described as the “male-dominated” ministry: “I would love to see women priests. I really would.”
On 13 August 2026, Irish broadcaster Mary Kennedy delivered a roughly 15-minute guest address entitled “Faith in Full View” during the National Novena to Our Lady of Knock in Knock Basilica, Co. Mayo, following the Gospel: “I would like it if it weren’t such a male-dominated ministry. I think there is real value in having women in important positions in the Church. It’s not going to change in my lifetime, or in the lifetimes of other people present here, but I really do feel that women would have a huge contribution to make to the Church, and I would love to see women priests. I really would.”
Rainbow Dance at the Altar Includes Men in Skirts: On August 15, at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Torrelavega, Spain, parish priest Juan Carlos Rodríguez del Pozo introduced a “contemplative dance” in which men and women wearing large, rainbow colored skirts danced in a circle around “the table of the Eucharist.” Explaining its symbolism, he said: “We’re going to see many colors, which symbolize… diversity”. After the dance, he added: “We are a welcoming, diverse community, where nobody is superfluous, where we all (todos) feel at home, whoever/however we may be.” In the homily, Rodríguez del Pozo rejected a faithful understanding of Our Lady’s bodily Assumption: “No human being is going to ascend to heaven body and soul.”

‘The World Is Not Waiting for a Synodal Church’: In an open letter to Pope Leo XIV, Dutch Bishop Rob Mutsaerts says people in the West today need clear and confident proclamation of the Gospel rather than permanent ecclesial consultation.
Ceuta is under siege again tonight and Madrid still treats it like a PR problem. Either the military seals the perimeter with real force or this enclave is lost for good. No more “managing flows.” Defend Spanish soil or surrender it.
Ezekiel 28:1-10 "Because you think your own thoughts are divine." This is something to reflect on. What are my thoughts, and what is God's thought? Make peace with my thoughts. Surrender to the Lord what is useless from the past. Transform the negative into positive. Live in the present in God's love. Matthew 19:23-30 "You who have followed me" Leaving behind evil, attachments, and welcoming God's love, enables us to be with others. It is certainly not about pushing people away. On August 15, InfoVaticana.com noted a pattern in Leo XIV’s 2026 liturgies: the Roman Canon has been absent from nearly all the year’s major solemnities. At the Assumption Mass, Eucharistic Prayer III was used instead, as it was at Easter, Pentecost, Corpus Christi, and Saints Peter and Paul. The Canon has not disappeared entirely: Leo XIV used it on Holy Thursday and at a Sacred Heart Mass in Tenerife on June 12. For more than fourteen centuries, the Roman Canon stood at the heart of the Roman rite, its roots reaching deep into the earliest centuries of Christian worship in Rome. #newsQwvjswksfd

Cardinal Cobo Turns the Consecration into a Theatrical Display: On 15 August, Cardinal José Cobo of Madrid delivered a liturgically abusive, theatrical presentation of the consecration at the Eucharist for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Parish Church of the Virgen de la Paloma in Madrid. While saying the words of consecration - “Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my Body” - Cardinal Cobo looked towards the congregation and extended the bread towards them. He made a similar gesture with the chalice while saying, “Take this, all of you, and drink from it.” The Eucharist was broadcast live on Telemadrid.
¿Qué clase de consagración es esta? Las rúbricas son claras: El sacerdote, además, se inclina un poco cuando, en la consagración, pronuncia las palabras del Señor.
Pope Leo XIV just said that priests should remain faithful to the rubrics of the Mass. Okay, then. Let’s actually take that seriously for a moment, because if the Pope is telling priests to remain faithful to the rubrics, then what exactly are we supposed to make of priests who routinely decide to do their own thing during Mass? I’m not talking about legitimate options that the Roman Missal actually gives the priest. I’m talking about adding things that aren’t there, removing things that are there, changing things because Father doesn’t like them, or inserting something because it fits his personality or his particular idea of what the congregation needs. If the Church gives you a liturgy and says, “This is how you are to celebrate it,” and you knowingly decide, “Well, I’m going to do it my way,” then isn’t that, at the very least, disobedience to the Church’s liturgical law? And if the Pope himself is now emphasizing fidelity to the rubrics, are these priests being disobedient to the …More

The Vatican (Cardinal Tucho Fernández) has removed from the priesthood a San Antonio priest for publicly referring to Francis and Leo XIV as "usurpers". Fr. John Mary Foster founded the Mission of Divine Mercy in 2001, a small Catholic community in the Texas Hill Country. He was incardinated into the Archdiocese of San Antonio in November 2009. In April 2026, a canonical tribunal found Foster guilty of schism, meaning refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff. The archdiocesan notice specifically describes this as “a crime against the faith.” The tribunal held that Foster had incurred latae sententiae excommunication and dismissed him from the clerical state. The sentence was publicly announced by Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, 69, of San Antonio on August 14, 2026. The trial The judicial process was authorized by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. The tribunal consisted of three judges, a notary, a promoter of justice, and an advocate for Foster. The three judges were …More
The Words of Jesus: All sins, in the Eyes of God, will be deemed acceptable by this new inclusive-Church. Any one who dares to challenge him will be sought out and punished. Those priests, bishops and cardinals who oppose him will be excommunicated and stripped of their titles. Others will be bullied and persecuted with many priests having to go into hiding. To those poor sacred servants of Mine who recognise My Voice now, please hear Me as I reach out to you to bring you comfort. You have been given the responsibility to testify on My behalf in order to save the souls of those whom you instruct and guide. All you can do is trust in Me and continue to serve Me. What you must not do is to accept any doctrine presented to you and which you will know, instantly, is not in accordance with My Teachings. You must do what your heart tells you, but know this. This period is going to cause you deep pain and the raw grief you will experience when you see how My Church will be desecrated will …More
I must commend the coherency not only of the messages but also of his disposition. The earnest witness is endearing. Please God all will be well. They are plainly not schismatic.
'Devotion Now, Assistance Then The role of Mary at the Particular Judgment is not something to be considered only at the end of life. It is prepared for throughout life. Those who: Pray the Rosary daily (resource support), Wear the Brown Scapular (resource support), Practice the First Saturday Devotion (resource support), Honor Her in Her images, Teach children to love Her, and Cultivate a true devotion to Our Lady,[2] … place themselves under Her maternal care. The Church has long associated these devotions with special assistance at death. While they must not be treated superstitiously, they are powerful means by which the faithful entrust themselves to Mary’s intercession.'
Cardinal Burke to Michael Knowles on traditional Roman Mass: “The most important thing for those who love the traditional Latin Mass is to make known to their bishops - and to the Holy Father most of all - their desire to worship according to this form and that they’re not calling into question the validity of the Second Vatican Council”
