Excerpt from "Golden Legend" by Bl. Jacobus de Voragine:
"In winter time as Martin passed by the gate of Amiens, he met a poor man all naked, to whom no man gave any alms. Then Martin drew out his sword and carved his mantle therewith in two pieces in the middle, and gave that one half to the poor man, for he had nothing else to give to him, and he clad himself with the other half.
The next night following, he saw Our Lord Jesu Christ in heaven clothed with that part that he had given to the poor man, and said to the angels that were about him: 'Martin, yet new in faith, hath covered me with this vesture.' Of which thing this holy man was not enhanced in vain glory, but he knew thereby the bounty of God.

And when he was eighteen years of age did do baptize himself, and promised that he should renounce the dignity to be the judge of the knights, and also the world, if his time of his provostry were accomplished."

"The first time that Satan presented himself in a visible form to Francesca's sight, God gave her an earnest of His protection in the strife to be waged between her and the old serpent, by miraculously revealing to her the character of her visitor. It was under the aspect of a venerable hermit, emaciated with fasts and watchings, that he entered the Ponziano palace: his intention was, by some artful words, to inspire Francesca with aversion and disgust for the solitary life, and at the same time for that hidden life which she so zealously practised in the midst of the world. No sooner had Francesca set her eyes upon him than she was supernaturally enlightened as to his true character; she knew at once the dreadful enemy, that for the first time made manifest to her sight; and, suddenly changing colour, she rose and left the room...Yet it was a most awful moment, that first initiation into the supernatural world, that first contact with the powers of darkness, that opening of the visible …More

"By this time, his eyes seemed half-dead. His cheeks were sunken, his face was sorrowful, his mouth open, and his tongue was bloody. His stomach was pressed in towards his back because of all the liquid that had been lost. It was as if he had no intestines. All of his body was pale and languid because of the loss of blood. His hands and feet were very rigidly outstretched, for they had been extended and made to conform to the shape of the cross. His beard and hair were completely soaked with blood. When my Son stood there so bruised and pale blue, only his heart was still vigorous, for it was of the best and strongest nature. He had taken from my flesh the most pure and well-wrought body. His skin was so thin and tender that blood flowed out of it instantly if he was scourged even slightly. His blood was so fresh that it could be seen inside the pure skin. And because he had the very best constitution, life contended with death in his pierced body. Sometimes the pain from his pierced …More

"Leo the Pope, as it is read in the miracles of Our Blessed Lady, in the Church of S. Mary the More, as he sang there mass, and much people by order were communed and houseled, and a matron, a certain woman, kissed his hand, whereof he was tempted vehemently in his flesh. And this holy man was a great weaker and avenger on himself, and cut off his hand that the same day privily, and threw it from him. Afterward the people murmured among them because the pope sang no mass, and did not divine service solemnly as he was wont to do. “Frances was known for her works of charity to the poor and her zeal for souls. She had the gift of miracles and ecstasy, (as) well as the bodily vision of her guardian angel had revelations concerning purgatory and hell, and foretold the ending of the Western Schism. She could read the secrets of consciences and detect plots of diabolical origin.”
The miraculous healing of dying Francesca.
“Suddenly, on the darkness of the silent chamber, a light broke, bright as the day. In the midst stood a radiant figure, majestic in form and gracious in countenance. He wore a pilgrim’s robe; but it shone like a burnished gold. Drawing near to Francesca’s bed, he said: “I am Alexis and I am sent from God to inquire of thee if thy choosest to be healed?” Twice he repeated the words, and then the dying one faintly murmured,” “I have no choice but the good pleasure of God. "The executioners and the crucifiers said to each other: ‘These are our clothes! He will not get them back because he is condemned to death!’ As my Son was standing there, naked as he had been born, a man came running up and handed him a cloth with which he joyfully covered his private parts. Then the cruel executioners seized him and stretched him out on the cross. First, they fastened his right hand to the wooden beam (which was fashioned with holes for the nails), piercing the hand at the place where the bone was most solid and firm. Then they pulled out his other hand with a rope and fastened it, in a similar way, to the beam. Next they crucified the right foot - with the left foot on top of it - with two nails, so that all his sinews and veins were stretched so much that they burst. After they had done this, they put the crown of thorns[1] on his head. It cut into my Son’s venerable head so deeply that his eyes were filled with blood as it flowed down, his ears were blocked by it,…More

God the Eternal Father to St. Catherine of Siena about His Will - part VIII - "THE DIALOGUE" OF SAINT CATHERINE OF SIENA - Translated by Algar Thorold; #34

"A different reward is received by the soul who perceives only My will, which, as has been said, wishes nothing else but your good; so that everything which I give or permit to happen to you, I give so that you may arrive at the end for which I created you. And because the soul remains always in the love of her neighbor, she remains always in Mine, and thus remains united to Me.
Wherefore, in order to arrive at purity, you must entreat Me to do three things: to grant you to be united to Me by the affection of love, retaining in your memory the benefits you have received from Me; and with the eye of your intellect to see the affection of My love, with which I love you inestimably; and in the will of others to discern My will only, and not their evil will, for I am their Judge, not you, and, in doing this, you will arrive at all perfection."
"This was the doctrine given to you by My Truth, if you remember well. Now I tell you, dearest daughter, that such as these, who have learnt this …More

"My soul doth magnify the Lord.
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.
Because He hath regarded the humility of His slave:
For behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
Because He that is mighty hath done great things to me; and holy is His name.
And His mercy is from generation unto generation, to them that fear Him.
He hath shewed might in His arm: He hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart. He hath put down the mighty from their seat and hath exalted the humble. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He hath sent empty away. He hath received Israel His servant, being mindful of His mercy: As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever. Glory be the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, forever and ever, Amen."

St Andrew Christmas Novena Prayer to obtain graces
"Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, (say your request here) through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen."
(It is piously believed that whoever recites the above prayer fifteen times a day from the feast of St. Andrew, on November 30th, until Christmas (December 25th) will obtain what is asked.)
[Imprimatur: +Michael Augustine, Archbishop of New York, New York, February 6, 1897.]

My conviction: Jesus shows the world that His holy mother lives in the deepest depth of His most Sacred Heart, where nobody can come, except she. This is what He shows us here by alowing her to come forward in the most blessed sacrament. His Body is her flesh and blood. Because of this, she was/is deeper than deeply united with Him in the most holy Sacrifice. She truly is Co-redemptrix.

Replica of the Spear of Destiny and Three Nails of Crucifixion.
Spear of Destiny (Holy Lance or Lance of Longinus) that pierced the side and heart of Jesus as He hung on the Cross. This is the Hofburg Version of the Holy Spear displayed in the Imperial Treasury at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. The design of the winged lance is typical for the Carolingian Dynasty. It was said to be the Lance of St. Maurice or of that Constantine the Great. In the X Century, the Holy Roman Emperors came into the possession of the Holy Lance. In 1084 Henry IV had a silver band added to it. Around 1350 Charles IV had a golden sleeve put over the silver one inscribed "Lancea et Clavus Domini" (Lance and Nail of the Lord).
The nails are 7.5 inches in length, The Lance is 18 inches (1.5 feet), and the weight is 5.6 pounds.
Together with the Crown of Thorns, they help to pray much better and meditate.
St. Longinus is the centurion who pierced the side and heart of Our Lord:

Prayer of Thanksgiving for the Tears of St. Mary Magdalene with Promise
St. Mary Magdalene said to St. Mechtilde:
"Whoever shall give God thanks for all the tears I shed upon the feet of Jesus, our most merciful God will grant him, through my intercession, remission of all his sins before his death, and a great increase of love of God."
Prayer with a Promise:
"O Most Merciful Jesus, I give Thee thanks for that work of piety which the blessed Mary Magdalen wrought on Thee, when she washed Thy feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed them and anointed them with fragrant ointment; whereby she obtained from Thee such signal grace that Thou didst pour into her heart and soul so great a love of Thee, that she could love nothing apart from Thee; beseeching Thee, that by her merits and intercessions Thou wouldst vouchsafe to give me tears of true repentance and pour into my heart Thy Divine love.
