St Praxedes Sees Christ.
From the Roman Martyrology for today (21 July): "In Rome, St. Praxedes, Virgin. In all chastity and learned in divine law, she gave herself constantly to vigils, prayers, and fasting. She went to rest in Christ and was buried next to her sister Pudentiana, on the Via Salaria" This 9th-century mosaic is above the apse of the Basilica of Santa Prassede, and it shows the Saint in heaven where, among the Saints and with Our Lady, she enjoys the Beatific Vision.
