1) In what direction did the image appear?
I was hoping that the image appeared in the East as is foretold in Matthew. Also, wouldn’t this image more fittingly appear last night (Good Friday) rather than Thursday as indicated?

2) What type of camera was used?
I’m guessing that this was a cheap Moldovan camera that gave a blurred image which included the trees in the foreground and the clouds. Secondly, why not take more than one picture of such an unusual event?

3) How long did the image last?
If it lasted more than an instant, there would have been opportunity to take multiple (hopefully less blurry) shots. Why not do it?

4) Was it cloudy at the time? Rainy?
It likely was cloudy but it was the camera itself or possibly a slight movement of the picture taker that accounts for the blurry image.

5) Have you ever seen something like this before last night?
Perhaps Luchinka has seen other strange, miraculous, unexplained or extraordinary events. If so, that might add to the total understanding of what is presented in this picture.

So called miraculous events happen are are happening with some regularity in our time. If those events can be examined critically (scientifically) and still be seen as miraculous (unexplained) then we have something that goes beyond faith into the realm of fact. If the event can not withstand scientific scrutiny then the event is more likely superstition than it is supernatural designed to fool (and hopefully extract some cash) from mindless little dupes.

Several years ago a friend and I went to a Greek Orthodox Church which was said by the papers to have a weeping statue of the Madonna. We couldn’t get that close but it seemed the ‘tears’ had the appearance of oil rather than liquid and that they were fixed on the statue's face. Below and to the side of the statue was an “offering basket” where the faithful could leave their “love offering.” We both left the church without making a love offering.
