Are you suggesting that Francis is the apparent holder of the Petrine Ministry?
Francis is not the leader of the Church of which he is not a member, having nothing more than his white disguise. You see, God does not grant a seat in His Church to every men wearing the cloth.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
Also, do you believe the Words of the New Testament, concerning the coming of the main False Prophet, will never be fulfilled?
Revelation 13:11-14, 19:20, 20:10.
Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. Hades could mean Hell or death.
The ‘’Will not prevail’’, in the light of the rest of the Bible, can only mean ‘’Will not prevail completely against the Church’’ or ‘’The gates of Hades won’t be able to annihilate the Church completely’’.
I understand that you, Klaus Elmar Müller, and others think that this verse prevents the Church of being persecuted by an unprecedented type of impostor, but God can allow this situation as a punishment for the world and to put our faith to the test. We can not say that the Church won’t undergo terrible events and everything that is written will happen.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion* comes first… *(Defection, apostasy, revolt, defection from truth).
Matthew 24:10 At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another…
Revelation 13:7 (the first beast) Then it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them… (alternate translation: to wage war against the Saints and to defeat them).
So, the Saints will be defeated but the Church will at least exist somewhere, surely well-hidden (Matthew 24:15-16) and, probably in small number (Luke 18:8).
