Former Orán Bishop Gustavo Zanchetta, 57, Argentina, is no longer working as an assessor at the Vatican’s Administration of the Patrimony of the Holy See, reports CatholicNewsAgency.com (June 21).
Likely, at this job, Zanchetta was as incompetent as he was as a diocesan bishop which is the reason why he got the jobs to begin with. His service at the Vatican’s investment bank ended about two weeks ago. Francis created the position 2017 after Zanchetta - a Bergoglio crony and Francis' first appointed Argentinean bishop - had been forced to retire - allegedly for health reasons.
CatholicNewsAgency’s source suspects that Zanchetta may be back in Argentina, where he is facing charges of homosexual and financial misconduct.
