Well said good pastor Schneider. He is trying many others to loose their soul.

It is time for the College of Cardinals to intervene.

And do what precisely

Seconding @Cuthbert Mayne's question? HOW, exactly, should the College of Cardinals "intervene", WHAT exactly should they do and WHERE in Canon Law are they authorized to do so. Enquiring Minds Want To Know! :D

Got some bad news for ever'body. Pope Francis IS "the voice of the Magisterium". according to the Catechism Of The Catholic Church (CCC 100
)

"The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the Magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion with him."

The Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly and unambiguosly defines the "Magisterium of the Church" as the Pope and the bishops in communion with him.

Bishop Schneider understands this, which is why he said something very different than the "summary quote" given in this GTV article.

This article claims Bishop Schneider listed three sources rejecting same-sex unions: "The Catholic Faith (1.), the voice of the Magisterium (2.), and common sense (3.) common sense reject the recognition of civil homosex unions, Bishop Athanasius Schneider writes "

...and Bishop Schneider did no such thing, almost certainly because he's better acquainted with the Catechism than GTV's anon author. This is what Bishop Schneider wrote:

"The Catholic Faith in the voice of the Magisterium of all times, the sense of the faith of the faithful (sensus fidelium) as well as common sense clearly reject any civil union of two persons of the same sex, a union which has the aim that these persons seek sexual pleasure from each other. "

Bishop Schneider, then, lists the following sources of rejection

1.) The Catholic Faith in the voice of "the Magisterium of all times" -which is not "the voice of the Magisterium" becuase today, "the voice of the Magisterium" according to The Catholic Church', is Pope Francis and the bishops in communion with him.

2.) The sense of the faith of the faithful (essentially their feelings of faith. Notice this is an entirely different second source of rejection than the one claimed by the author.

3.) Comon sense. -which corresponds to the article's claims.

False summaries give a false impression of what Bishop Schneider wrote.

There must be a pope for there to be an anti-pope. So, who, pray tell, is the pope then? Oh, I'm going to enjoy this. P.S. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is not "B.S." :D
