Excellent letter. There are, without a doubt, an infinitude of Novi ordinis. I’m fortunate to be years from the last time I “experienced” the new mass, but I can say that my biggest pet peeve, amongst celebrations that strive for some reverence, is the way they include silence: they pause the liturgy, by waiting interminable lengths of time between readings, and after communion. There is no silence during the action.
