The debate is not over how sinful a pope is generally, but whether he is a manifest and obstinate heretic. Fidelity to the deposit of faith is essential to the Petrine office, personal impeccability is not.
So many reasons why it is impossible for Francis NOT to be pope, and so many reasons why it is impossible for Francis TO BE pope. Hoping Pope Francis will bump into anti-Pope Francis in a Vatican corridor and they will cancel each other out with a flash of light, "zap" and "sizzle".
