The answer to our Lord's rhetorical question is: satan's minions are morons who don't have the strength of their convictions.

It takes a genuine faith, even in a false religion, to look at manuscripts that will bring millions of dollars on the antiquities market and burn them simply on principle.

...or simply genuine pride. ;-)

There are Catholics who would gladly burn a stack of priceless Qurans and cook bacon over the flames just for the bragging rights the selfies would bring.
