The former abbot of Montecassino, the head monastery of the Benedictines, Pietro Vittorelli (54), will have to appear in front of a judge. Vittorelli was the 191st successor of Saint Benedict, the founder of the Benedictines. He is accused of misappropriation of 500.000 Euros at the expense of his abbey. Vitorelli, a practicing homosexual, used the money for travelling, especially to Brazil or London, exclusive dinners, perfumes, cloths, call-boys, drugs and gay parties. He was exclaustrated in 2014. Vitorelli is a trained surgeon.
