McCarrickian bishops who endorse giving Holy Communion to unrepentant sinners are the modern-day equivalent of Arian bishops. The Arians rejected Christ in the Trinity; the McCarrickians reject Christ in the Eucharist.

By that logic, why not also put communion in the hand of non-Catholics in the hope that they might become Catholic some day? I must admit, I don't quite understand his theology of the Eucharist.

That statement is so ridiculously stupid that it’s hard to believe it’s real. But then I realize that it’s the Church in 2022, and it makes sense. Does anyone still cling to the “hermeneutic of continuity?”
