Anti-Russian Frenzy: The Greek-Catholic Religious Information Service of Ukraine has warned in an article of a – quote – “Orthodox Caliphate in Russia”. It adopts Turkey’s prime minster’s statement during his recent visit to Kyiv calling Russia a “terrorist organization.” The article adds: “In no way does the Russian state differ from the Islamic State.” The article accuses Russia of wanting to – quote “revive medieval clericalism”.
Agenda: Metropolitan Hilarion of the Moscow Patriarchate said in an interview with Interfax-Religion that the Greek-Catholics – quote – “have their own politicized agenda” and that “even the pope is not an authority to them." The Anti-Russian Greek-Catholic Major Archbishop of Kiev has strongly criticized the joint declaration adopted by Francis and Kirill.
Back Again: The feast of Corpus Christi and the All Saints’ Day have been reinstated in Portugal after they were abolished in 2012 for a period not longer than five years in order to increase the number of working days and to boost the economy. The two feasts are guaranteed by a concordat between Portugal and the Holy See.

O my Jesus,
I beg You on behalf of the whole Church:
Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit
and give power to the words of priests
so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance
and return to You, O Lord.
Lord, give us holy priests;
You Yourself maintain them in holiness.
O Divine and Great High Priest,

and for light for the priests
before whom I will make my confessions throughout my lifetime.
