Princess Gloria, Twenty Priests, Eighty Scholars: Pagan Francis Must Repent

One hundred priests and lay scholars around the globe published a November 12 statement protesting against the Pachamama worship during the Amazon Synod and highlighting Francis’ personal responsibility.

The statement entitled “Protest against Pope Francis’s Sacrilegious Acts” is published in many languages on ContraRecentiaSacrilegia.org.

It refers to Josef Seifert's statement published on Pachamama in St Peter’s Manifests Abu Dhabi Statement - by Professor Josef Seifert that putting idols in a church is objectively a grave sin, independently of a subjective culpability.

Among the signatories are Fathers Brian Harrison, Cor Mennen, John Saward, and Stefan Dreher FSSP.

Other signatories are the professors John Rist, Roberto de Mattei, and Gerard van den Aardweg, as well as celebrities like the German Princess Gloria of Thurn and Taxis, and the former German MP, Willy Wimmer.

By calling Him Pope, and worse, the Successor to Saint Peter, they negate everything they just said, because an idolater is not a member of the Church, canon 1364 puts him out. Also, some of these signers know about ppbxvi.org and that there is no canonical reason to even think he ever was pope. So this statement actually supports Bergoglio...

In idolatriam novam, because their statment is opposed to the recent (novam) idolatry, which is much worse than sacrilege, the proper grammatical structure is to use IN followed by the accusative, because its a verbal statement. But, then again, the Latin of the Renunciation was a horror, so maybe Germans do not study Latin any more...

Finally, I find it sad but almost laughable, how long it is taking some Catholics to realize that idolatry is a sacrilege and a sin which puts you OUTSIDE the Church. It seems that a lot of Catholics with high levels of education find themselves unable to say this for some reason. Have they never Read Tertullian?

I am glad that they address the issue of the objective culpability of idolatry. I and many others mentioned that on October 4,5 and 6th, but were ignored or called extremists.
